Whew! That race was a wild ride and a lot of fun!

It was a lot of fun crunching with you TA Seti guys!

I'm off to other projects until the next race.

I thought so too. 🙂

It was a fun race and it was especially fun being part of TAS. It was my first race as a TAS member even though I have been a member for a while now. 😉

well... now that everyone is done racing.

there are a couple DC projects for you ati users
Milkyway@Home with Milkyway@Home optimized aps for cpu and gpu.
the modified aps only work with the 38xx and 48xx series cards, but I have it running on a 4770.
so it basically works for any RV670, RV740, and RV770 gpu cards

Collatz Conjecture works on all DX10 (works on my 3450 card) capable cards and they have a link to the optimized aps on thier home page. they also have a linux x64 Cuda ap running too.

I was crunching both of these while racing 😀

wow, that was a lot of fun! obviously the pre-gauntlet stats were nearly useless. aad looked like the one to beat individually and he got 5th place, s@nl had two teams that looked like they could each win and they finished #6 and #7!

I've got a few PC's hooked up to Milkyway with the optimized app. but not getting those crazy numbers you have. :|

what gpu's are you using... i have just about everything 38xx up to 4890... just about.

For Milkyway I have one-4890, three-4850, one-4770, and two-3850 crunching... all gpu, no cpu.
when milkyway is down, i switch them over to collatz and then back when milkyway is back up.

Mates, mates, is this a seti-thread? 😉

I thought so ... 😉

Now it is a what-to-crunch-after-the-The-Gauntlet-thread. 😉

Damn I missed most of the race 🙁, too busy with daily stuff :frown:.

I think I'm going to be sticking with SETI for a while, although it is tempting to go back to DPAD. I've given it a long run til recently however, might crunch some F@H too.

Why don't you up the time rather than off monitoring?

Sorry AS1, I don't understand?

Ref your vid drivers.

I used to chat alot in the OcUK DC forum back in the SETI classic days, even before they had a team, infact my recruiting for TA back then might of triggered the start of their team! 😱 lol. Anyway their's a lot good folk there 🙂.

Oh & congrats to TAS on 2nd place 😎😀

Well I've felt the need to take a couple machines off, they are work boxes and really have to be purposed for work stuff.
I could see hooking them up with Seti temporarily, they were responsible for about 3000 of my RAC so they will be missed.
🙁

Big Bertha under my desk will still be running 16 processes plus one CUDA so I don't feel too bad!! 🙂

I should have tried that. Maybe go up to 10 seconds? I just had my first problem by turning the Trdlevel off. For some reason, I thought I could crunch 2 projects simultaneously on the GTX295 in SLI mode (gpugrid & collatz conjecture). Anyway, the screen locked up! I rebooted, turned on the trdlevel again and now I'm crunching collatz only. If I have problems, I will try to increase the delay time.

Agreed!🙂

Worth a shot 🙂.

It looks like the driver restart/computation error is project specific in SLI mode.

gpugrid: no problems
seti: no problems if I turn off tdrlevel (haven't tried increasing the delays)
Collatz Conjecture:

1) No modifications of registry: about 25% computation errors
2) tdrlevel: REG_DWORD set to 0 (off): video freezes (hard restart)
3) tdrDelay: REG_DWORD set to 20 seconds (default is 2): about 25% computation errors
4) increased tdrDelay & tdrDdiDelay to 20 seconds: about 25% computation errors

I gave up on SLI mode and made a VGA dummy plug so I can use the 2nd GPU (needed for Vista). Now I'm crunching Collatz error free!!!🙂
