New Samsung ad mocks Apple fanboys

Good, about time. How does this help Galaxy SII on hand we're talking about?

I researched day and night on this prior to buying. Again, I have zero fanboyism.

You do know that SAMOLEDFXGTWOW+v9 has unnaturally oversaturated colors which caused blistering of skin tones on various quality Youtube videos and pictures.

Mediocre my ass, my Evo kicks ass so much browsing internet and watching true dot-by-dot HD video (Watching Avatar on my phone is godly).

lol. Galaxy S2 is 6 months old. That's like a generation in phone hardware.

For videos, nothing can compare to SAMOLED. Avatar would look whole lot better on SGS2 screen. Unless you're a weird freak that prefers LCD to plasma for movies. SAMOLED=plasma like on phone.

I think you're too attached to your Evo.

Agreed. And good luck finding anything on the Evo in direct sunlight. My main issue with AMOLED is that it's sometimes TOO bright. It's like a rainbow exploded on my face, and in the dark that can really rattle a man.

Never happening. Gmail vs. OWA 2010? Get real! Not to mention execs and their 70GB mailboxes. Ridiculous but they make seven figures and if they want their bloated mailboxes so be it.

😱 And here I thought our 20GB user was bad

But yeah - some of us need to have Exchange on our phones

You do know Samsung offers a built in tool to alter the color calibration? Not to mention there are third party apps on the market for it as well.

lol @ great tool.

All screens have their shortcomings. It seems each manufacturer has a problem with a certain color:

Motorola screens always seem to have a "blue tinge" to me.
HTC screens seem to be over saturated with red.
Samsung seems to have a yellowish tinge.

Maybe it's just me.

The Droid is darn near perfect, in fact its still the benchmark for all the display ratings when Anandtech reviews a new phone.

Sadly the newer Motos are often inferior.

Sometimes that's a good thing though. Most people should not be able to choose very technical things about their phones as they are not capable of making the choice. For the rest of us there's jailbreaking.

Why does this comment not suprise me. Very typical thinking from someone in a European country. Others know what's best for the masses. Sickening.

My sister-in-law did that to my niece last year. The kid wanted an iPhone 4 but she got an Evo.

On Christmas my niece was like, "Well, it's sort of like an iPhone." When I saw her again in March she had an iPhone 4. She said she couldn't deal with the Evo.

She couldn't deal with the social stigma of not having an iPhone.

What Android is good for: Everything

What iOS is good for: Pretending you have friends

AMOLED is garbage. I've never seen a uniform AMOLED display, there is always some sort of spotting when white is displayed. Oh wait - did I say white? I meant when blue is displayed. AMOLED screens couldn't do white if it's life depended on it.

Every AMOLED screen I've seen bleeds when watching video. WTF? It does black nice, but can't do dark shades of grey?

Oh yea, there is also color...the display looks like someone is drawing with crayola crayons or something. Can't someone turn the colors down? It's like it's pixels were made with Skittles or something.

You might want to get your eyes checked. My Galaxy S has a great screen and has no issues with color or bleeding.
And Apple tells you it is perfect and you believe it because you have to justify your purchase somehow.

Very small markets? Are you shitting me? For T-Mobile... hardly the best network available, there is 4G is damn near 100 major cities. I'm sure Verizon has that much already if not more. Very small markets... pfft.

no rolled out technology currently meets IMT-Advanced, so nothing is really 4G. there's a couple of pre-4G technologies, but tmo doesn't use any of them.

Not a huge fan of Samsung, but that's an excellent commercial.

Still loving my HTC Evo 4g for the last 18 months however. Going to be some interesting choices in 6 months. Unfortunately my Evo does weigh like a brick with the Seido bigass battery I installed since 4g eats up battery power badly. Then again, makes a good weapon in self defense...

My GS2 is better than any iPhone I ever owned (which is all of them). I'm glad I jumped ship on apple.

Out of curiosity, did you buy any apps? Or did you rely on free apps on iOS? I've noticed most people who are happy after jumping ship from iOS are ones that never paid a dime for an app.

Funny.

But says a lot that they have to try and "win" mind share by being anti-iPhone.

Taking a page right out of Apple's playbook with the "I'm a Mac" commercials.

If they're following the plan then they should make people who buy Apple products dumb while they're products are owned by cool people. Go with that for a years and then once they've gotten to a desired point of market saturation, flip it over and make touchy feely commercials that tug at peoples heart strings.

Funny you mention this. I have spent more than what the phone costs in appz (iphone-app store)...

A lot are exclusive to the iphone so that's why I have both.

The app store needs a refund within 15 minutes feature. Also having to put in a password even on updates/downloading free apps etc. is a pain. Google gives you the option of using a pin if you want it.

And IOS does not have fart droid. (but fart studio is still better)

Don't ask. 😉
