Saturday I'm at my friend's house most of the day, Sunday I head to NH for a week's vacation. :awe:

I've got 5 weeks of vacation time. One is used between Christmas and New Year and I want to roll over 2 weeks to next year. I still have to figure out how to burn the remaining 2 weeks. Maybe I'll just take Fridays off at the end of the year or maybe I'll take most of December off.

I tend to think the Fridays is a better plan. If you take tons of time off in December, you might get snagged for your wife's plans to decorate the house, or roped into some awful parties.

No, the house decorating is her job. The only thing I do for that is build one of the trees and put the outside decorations out. Otherwise, it is her thing and we generally don't go to any parties. As it turns out, we're the ones that do all the entertaining for our core group of friends. Our house is well designed for parties so we have a New Year's Eve party every year. I wouldn't mind having a Christmas party as well, but the NYE party is expensive the way it is and our friends are cheap fucks and don't contribute like they should, so we're going to notch it down this year.

For example, one of her friends bought two bottles of wine for the party. One was a REALLY cheap bottle (think $3), and the other was a so-so bottle -- maybe $10, probably $8. At the end of the party, she actually asked if she could take the wine home and left us the really cheap bottle.

This year I think we may have a larger crowd if we elect to have a party. We've had one every year we've lived in the house and I like establishing a tradition to follow, but sometimes these guys piss me off.

That's a real winner.

Yeah, it was really rude and my wife is also tired of being the ones who always entertain.

For me, it is the only time of the year I get drunk. My wife made this punch last year that was like liquid candy and I couldn't stop drinking and was totally bombed.

23x35, waterproof, folding, with the entire back dedicated to non-map things.

Previous maps were probably 16x24, had the map stretched onto both sides, and just a glossy non-waterproof material.

The oldest of them were the best, dark color tones instead of looking unfinished and overbright.

Anyways, free is always good, especially for things that get lost, destroyed, drowned, and/or out of date.

Also, they need to be small enough to use on the move in a tiny area, and to be crumpled into a little ball and jammed into the glovebox at a moment's notice. Plus I suck at folding things.
