Laptop repair involved the entire motherboard being swapped. Took about 35 minutes.

Now I need to give it a new OS, all its programs, a few games, and a pile of movies before the weekend.

err, why do you need to reinstall if all they did was swap mb?

Unfortunately, I lost my odd copy of Windows 7, so I'll just have to use my real version, and reformat it all again within 30 days.
