It was alright until the vocals started. Meh.

Blah, I read your post just as the vocals started. Couldn't agree more.

Definitely gets better at the end.

Starts off weak, the vocals don't sound right throughout, but it ends strong. I also agree with other posters that the drums, specifically the snare, doesn't sound good. I consider it average at best. Hopefully this wasn't the strongest cut on the album.

We were talking about the snare on St Anger album. The drums on this song are normal.

Didn't like it, not surprised. It is better than St. Anger though.

Well I'm not a teen, but their actual thrash albums are great.

I'm not a teen (23), but And Justice For All was their best album.

It's alright. Hetfield's vocals sounds bad, but way better than I expected. I agree with the comments that it seems unfinished. I really wish they'd all start drinking again. Nothing good can come of a clean and sober band.

I think it's badass!

99.9 KISW in Seattle was playing it every hour. I've heard it 8-10 times today and it grows on me each time.

It's like they tried really hard to make a back-to-the-roots ballad like Fade to Black or One and ended up just self-plagiarizing. Still not St. Anger-bad, though.

I think a lot of you just don't want to like it. Its not there best work but its a hell of a lot better then they have done in a long time.

I think every radio station was. Never song a song hyped so much.

It was awesome except for the vocals, something is missing.

Man, I'll have to remember that one at work:

"cK, this work is shoddy, incomplete, and practically useless."

"Yes, but remember last quarter when I put a fresh turd on your desk with a sticky-note saying 'Merry Xmas, you fat fuck'?"

"Good point - here's a promotion!"

I agree.

It's so interesting to see how different radio stations operate, lol.. On the Seattle rock station, they were playing it every hour, like I said.. During the 2PM talk show, it was the only song they played for like 2 hours whenever they played music.

While here in Portland, I've heard it once and I've been listening since 6PM. The one time they played it, they had this huge 30 second work up.. .. lol.. It's hilarious.

Anyway... The general consensus from call-ins is positive...

When I first heard it, I liked it, but I didn't think it had radio staying power... I think it might stick around a little longer now that I'm more used to it.
