Top Cruise is too short to be a pilot anyway
really? i thought pilots were supposed to be small... that taller people have mode difficulty during high-G maneuvers, due to the larger circulatory system compared to the heart size.

anyway, too late now to watch it. Maybe in 10 years, idk. I still feel like i've dodged a bullet.

I'd be surprised if you gave it less than 6 and I would be interested in reading your dissection.

For one thing, the sequel is too formulaic and they literally copied the Death Star trench scene.

neither puertoricans nor cubans are italians - but i see why you would make that mistake.
Apologies for getting off topic, but Italy has a wide variety of skin types. Northern Italians tend to look like regular Western Europeans. Southern Italians and Sicilians tend to have varying amounts of skin coloring. Italy has a tremendous amount of diversity for, by American standards, such a small country.

My step-grandfather was from Sardinia and had very light 'mocha latte' coloring but grandma was much, much lighter.

That's on mom's side. Dad was white, anglo-saxon protestant going back centuries.

White Lotus season 3 episode one. It's nice to be able to put this on and check the fuck out of this timeline for a for a few.

However, season 2's intro music is still on another level

Fucking great start to season 3. I really got to tune out my brain because the show is just beautiful shot and fascinating.

Wait, there's a minimum pilot height too? I knew there was a max.

Anyway, I've never seen either Top Gun...honestly just not a fan of Tom Cruise. I've never seen Mission Impossible either.

Event Horizon 6/10

This one is niche as shit so you are going to love it or hate it. If you are into the sci-fi/horror genre then this is for you if you aren't then just forget about it.

I've never seen Mission Impossible either.
The first Mission Impossible was the best because it was centered around Ethan Hunt, not Tom Cruise the actor so the other actors got ample screen time and were able to act properly. All the sequels are mostly about "hey look, Ethan Hunt is James Bond and these other people are there just so you don't get bored looking at Tom's face in every frickin' scene".

The Way Back (2010) - 6.5/10 - Now streaming in Prime

Based on the 1956 novel, The Long Walk, about a group of men who escape from a Siberian prison camp in the winter and proceed to walk all the way to India.

Ed Harris & Colin Farrel star.

Cinematography is beautiful, the prison camp scenes were harrowing, but while long at 135 minutes it felt super edited down as we skipped key moments, details were lost, and the viewer had to make a lot of assumptions.

I would really enjoy this as a 8-12 episode series to go into a bit more detail as I can assume the 288-page book is rich in detail.

I'm so happy this didn't suck.
Me too. The original Beetlejuice was fun. Had that good mix of funny moments. Story is fun too, complete with side plots.

There are many funny moments.
I really had to laugh because of the surfer dude on the couch , greeting Charles.

The Gorge - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13654226/reference/

Bordering on the "so bad, it's good" kind.
It doesn't make sense. It doesn't have to make sense. Miles Teller shooting plant-zombie knights on plant-zombie horses, with machi-nee-guuuns.
It's got ACTION !
it's got ANYA TAYLOR-JOY !
It's got HORRENDOUS DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY !
What can i say, come for Anya's booty, stay for not much else.

eh, i tolderated it. 6/10 if you are in the right spirit and don't mind a bit of fast-forward, 5/10 otherwise.

Bonus: it does have an absolutely EPIC song for soundtrack:

Saw The Monkey last night. Wasn't sure what to expect other than I liked Longlegs. It was bizarre in the best possible way. 7/10 if you like the genre.

And out of all the amazing stunts done since, the one of him stealing the NOC list from that computer at the CIA is still the most iconic.

Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2

The conclusion of the story that started in S1.

I'd say that Nocturne S1 & S2 is comparable with Castlevania S1 & S2, I liked what they did with it and it was somewhat different in its messages. I enjoyed S3/S4 but I don't have the same desire to re-watch them as this.

Same rating from me, 6/10

Cool concept, failed to execute. I loved that concept of a sci-fi sort of romance within a crazy sci-fi situation, but the movie could not be both things - ultimately what they found in the gorge was a bit too stupid to suspend disbelief for. But fun movie, pretty to look at in multiple places, and overall fun and mindless.
