I wonder how responses would differ if there was a suggestion to introduce a beautiful lesbian (i.e., female) spy, with maybe some hot lesbian (i.e., girl on girl) scenes, to the next Bond movie? People suggesting that any gay characters might be introduced to Bond in order to appease gay people or gay rights groups are exceedingly clueless. In reality, knowing the exploitative nature of the Bond franchise, if there were homosexual characters introduced they would most likely be:
1) a foppish, weak, deranged gay man - presented as a serial killer, or
2) a hot yet evil and utlimately doomed lesbian, presented for the sole purpose of validating the absurd heterosexual male fantasy re: lesbian women

You have your opinions and other People have there opinions............

You seem to have a problem with that.

Yes..there are People that would like the movie to be a certain way.

They express there opinions about the movie and leave it alone.

Then there are those that put the People down that are expressing there opinions about the movie.

State your opinion of what you would like to see in the movie but dont criticize other People because it doesnt match what you like.

Allow them there opinions...................

Opinions are like rectums......everyone has one.:D

You can argue over facts but opinions are like taste, some People like sardines, some dont.

My Mother, Sister and Daughter all danced ballet thus I was around a lot of Gay People.
No, I am not stereotyping gay People, there happens to be Gay People in all walks of life.

I know them to want the same things in life as anyone else and I have helped and defended them.

So, I dont think you need to defend the gay lifestyle and keep attacking hetro males.

I have read a lot of your other posts and you seem overly sensitive or something, if I am wrong and you have a reason please make me aware of it. :sun:

Heh. "The World is Not Enough" is the first movie where I had to walk out of the theater because of the sheer crapiness. If you really think a nude scene will kill that series (and not the hack writers) then you have poor taste in movies.

I think it has more to do with him being a well established character. If they introduced a new agent who was gay and had a hero part it wouldn't be as bad. But Bond? Might as well make Darth Vader gay - at least theres some background there....hanging around that old man and all.

They have yet to show a bare boob in any of the 20 (21) Bond films. If they're going to break out a cock just to "keep up with the times" then the franchise needs to die.

I stand by my statement that it's been a proud year for George Lazenby, who is no longer the worst Bond ever.

Well maybe like James McGreevey, James Bond has been trapped in the closet and needs to get out.

In all seriousness this is sad and even a disgrace to be suggested that they make a scene homosexual scene with James Bond.

I think the actor probably just wants to make sure ond moves with the times, stays relevant to today's younger generations. This has nothing to do with appeasing gay people. Anyway, there have always been homosexuals in the spy game, think of all the famous homosexual spy shenanigans from Britain and Russia during the 60s and 70s. Besides, so long as Bond pitches, he's still a real man right?

Stop trying to justify your own homosexuality.

It's no more or less relevant than it ever was. Making the new Bond a homosexual is not trendy, it's disgracing a character that others have built.

And no, seeing James Bond ramming some other guy's behind, Brokeback Mountain style, is not the type of thing that people want to see.

Yeah WTF, this is argument #5423523 by aidanjm that somehow justified his lifestyle. Just make peace with who you are, man....

1) Doubt it, a gay man wouldn't really come off as an evil villain. You can make many stereotypes on homosexulity, but portray it as evil/despicable just simply wouldn't work.

2) Doubt that as well, if a lesbian theme would occur, it would be one of Bonds inevitable flings. I hope it includes full frontal nudity.

Are you serious? There are large numbers of people who think homosexuality is evil/bad by nature...

To keep in touch with the modern era, James Bond, along with his soon to be popular same gender love scene, will be known as a woman's right activist, and donates to charity on his spare time away from spy missions.

James Bond will also have a new wardrobe, and will cameo Calvin Klein products a few times throughout the next movie (make sure to spot it during the love scene). James Bond will now be a master of diplomacy, guns are not the answer and as such James Bond will no longer be packing heat. A man of peace can talk a supervillain out of destroying the world, as we will demonstrate in the new James Bond movie rightfully named, Doves of Peace.

Well if they make a gay bad guy they will be coming out of the closet left and right to protest it saying, that it shows gays in a bad light.

I wouldn't want to see most of them naked. :disgust:

But Daniel Craig is a bit sexy. Bring on the naked scenes with lingering full frontal nudity!!!!!!!
