As a woman I just want to smack her because a whole bunch of girls are going to start being "quirky" in imitation of her.
While she can pull it off and come off as charming (barely) any woman who dresses like she lives in an abandoned goodwill, sings all her most inane thoughts, and interrupts and controls people through an artificial social awkwardness in real life will just be incredibly annoying.

I love Lizzy Caplan. She's like the badass version of Zooey Deschanel that isn't overly hipster and does crazy stuff in bed. If you've never seen Party Down, I recommend it.

Zooey made a guest appearance on Bones. She played her long lost cousin from Minnesota who had an obsession with Ben Franklin quotes.

Out of the new, less popular comedies, I found Friends with Benefits more amusing than New Girl. I don't think either were terribly funny, but I'm usually okay with that. Plus, Friends with Benefits liked to push the T&A factor quite a bit, which is alright in my book!

Excellent article about her whole "adorkability" thing and how they made a passing fair attempt to address it from both sides in the recent "Jess and Julia" episode.
Worth reading in toto if, you know, you care about the issue to any degree.
I loved her shtick when I first came across it in some movie where she played a space cadet buying a mattress for her rich father. I experienced a huge boner of "DO want!" :awe:
But I was already getting tired of it by 500 Days of Summer.
She can be a great addition to any cast in a supporting role, but her shtick is a bit too much for me for her to be carrying the lead.
In this respect, I kind of liken her to Michael Richards (Kramer from Seinfeld,) who was brilliant at what he did but flopped badly trying to carry his own series.
All that said, she really IS adorkable!

New Girl, lol. If I was a girl, I would get pregnant as many times a possible, then have abortion after the third month of being pregnant. So I would deliver a potato-sized 1/3 developed dead fetus, then I would take the fetus, put it in a jar of preservative liquid and put it on a shelf in a secret room in my house. And I would do it until I had so many that the room's walls were nothing but potato-sized aborted fetuses.
Then I would have a kid and when they're bad, I woul dmake them sit in the fetus room.
