Ok in your mind there isn't but there will always be a reason in someones mind to go to violence. The point of a democracy is to hash that out with words and popularity not picking up a gun because you don't like present policy.

And the point of an armed populace is to ensure that democracy continues. That this escapes you today, with the ongoing example of Hugo Chavez, astounds me.

Oh ok, I'll let the German Jews and early African Americans in the South know that.

Actually it wasn't a true democracy for either group, just like it isn't for us. Our founders knew that no matter the structure it was always possible (even likely) for a government to get away from the people. Hence they stressed the importance of the citizens being prepared to remove it and put in a new one whenever necessary.

I would also speak against 'popularity' being any kind of a threshold for policy. It was popular for women not to vote, just like it's popular for gays not to be able to marry...but both are morally reprehensible stands. Tocqueville warned against the tyranny of the majority, and he was proven a prophet on this point.

Obviously revolution is a last resort, but it's our birthright, our heritage, and our duty.

with insults like that you aren't going to be picked as dear leader. We need someone with pizazz and charm. sorry.

I can also think of many things dumber then my questioning if the revolution will go into the innercity like say... people who think they will have a revolution in the first place.

You see because for as much as you want to hide out in the forest and clean guns and shoot deer I want to sit at a pub in Beverly hills and drink nice beer from Belgium and soak up the LA sun. There is no place in our modern world for nutters trying to change shit with guns

Did your mama raise any kids who didn't turn out to be ignorant fools?

JStorm is one of those who thinks that Chavez is a champion of democracy, just trying to change the world with words, and it's only The Man who is keeping poor Hugo down. The only reason Chavez has to stifle the media is because they tell only lies, while Chavez only tells the truth.

OK, I almost threw up a little typing that.

LMK when we get that.

cubby1223: Moonbeam has either (1) completely lost his grip on reality, or more likely (2) is just trolling for heated responses. I don't know why any of you bother to respond to him anymore.

Hehehehehehehe, If you get really really really curious as to why folk respond to me you can always ask yourself why you just did. Doy!

There is a problem of gun violence in Chicago perpetrated by criminals who have illegally obtained guns - which by the way, has been *growing* ever since the gun ban was enacted years ago...

The government of Chicago has decided that the best way to deal with crime involving illegally obtained guns, is to carve up the rights of honest lawful citizens in a way that does nothing to stop the criminals. In fact, all it does is *aid* the criminals in their activities.

It's astonishing how imbecilic your thinking is. Those so called honest lawful citizens you envision as being so abused are the ones voting this Chicago government in and with the purpose, in part, of maintaining and enforcing gun control. These folk are voting their own beliefs and wished, you dolt.

Who the f do you think you are to tell them what's best for them?

How would your revolution deal with the people who live in cities? I live in Los Angeles. You aint getting anywhere on foot around here.

LOL no problem see South Africa all of South America by Spanish etc. 5% dominating 95%. All it takes is will.

One company of Rangers with gloves off could control all South Central and turn into mayberry in a month.

Why because I proved that he never said the us government used a earthquake gun? Because I talked about the misinformation you are being brainwashed with? 😱 And then you spackle your argument with straw men I never said. No need to get emo and talk about almost throwing up. i would figure after taking so much dick you wouldnt be gaging anymore

We wont have a perfect democracy and I think we know why.

I'm not talking about a company of rangers. I have no doubt a company of rangers could kill MANY brown people. I'm talking about tea baggers with hunting rifles and nutters.

You do realize that many of us who are prepared for revolution are ex-military, right? I wasn't anything impressive, but there are plenty who were. Or law enforcement, or numerous other related fields. Then there are any current members of those fields that choose to join the revolution. The end result is a group roughly as well trained as those on the other side.

As for hunting rifles, yeah we have those. And we have AR-15s, aks, sks, m14s, tactical shotguns, body armor, explosives, chemicals, and pretty much most everything else as well. Any that aren't mil specd can become so with minor tooling. That's the POINT of the 2nd. The only things we don't have are artillery, air, and armor, but those are of limited use in a revolution, as already pointed out.

thats a good point but what happens when the military just starts to put robots on the field? How will the revolution keep up with technology?

Who do you think a lot of teabaggers are? One thing for sure if SHTF those 'thugs' you claim they are scared of will be teabagees.

ROFLMAO OMG!!!

Yeah, cause our 'robot army' is massive and to be feared. After all most engagements now are just like episodes of battlebots.

Seriously, man, just quit before you embarrass yourself further.

look I dont care about people owning guns. Its a non issue to me. I just laugh at people who think they will overthrow the government.

We are not a democracy. :awe:
LOL True, I meant only democracy as a principle, not democracy as a form of government.

LOL Sometimes I forget that there are so many actual Chavez supporters out there. Scary, actually.
