Sounds like a nice deal:thumbsup: Just pray that suspension doesnt give you troubles.
I wouldn't sweat it. When shlt breaks, you fix it, that's all. Not much more than the routine timing belt replacement of a four banger.

Nice🙂

I thought I had read somewhere that those suspension systems were a nightmare and very costly if gone wrong because of the fact that the vehicle lowers itself at highway speeds.

Since it's the V8, good deal.

If it was the V6, I'd have told you to run. I had a 1992 Thunderbird (same car practically) with the V6 and it had a head gasket failure at like 100k miles.

I don't think that car was offered with a V6.

Yeah the thunderbirds had the problematic V6 that ate head gaskets.
The V8 was optional. (5.0 in early 90's 4.6 in later models) I had a 94 back in the day.

update request. How is the car doing?

the ford 3.8L engine for the years... 90 to something were bad about head gaskets.

my '93 mercury cougar blew its head gasket at 130k

Car is running great. Although I did leave the lights on all of last night and drained the battery. That was stupid. However a quick jump and nice little drive and it's back in action.

Update: This car is still running great! JL Gatsby, you can eat your words again, like you've done so many times before!
