1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.

Gaming and everything else.

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread.

$1300. Extra 300 is for the Ben Q monitor currently on sale for 36% off until the 28.

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.

America

4. IF you're buying parts OUTSIDE the US, please post a link to the vendor you'll be buying from.
We can't be expected to scour the internet on your behalf, chasing down deals in your specific country... Again, help us, help YOU.

None

5. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc.

Either one. Just chose the one you think is best and I'll go with it.

6. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.

PC is new. Already have a g9x mouse FWIW.

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.

It is a possibility. Undecided. Like to leave things stock.

8. What resolution, not monitor size, will you be using?

Saw Benq montior for $300, 24 inches

9. WHEN do you plan to build it?
Note that it is usually not cost or time effective to choose your build more than a month before you actually plan to be using it.

As soon as the money comes in each week. Next two weeks will be paying bills though.

X. Do you need to purchase any software to go with the system, such as Windows or Blu Ray playback software?

Windows 7.

Just give the best possible ideas you can offer because this will be done in steps. Will try and get to a microcenter but if its not possible I have no problem sucking up the extra costs. Currently have $700 so tell me if I should get a monitor like listed above or a cheaper one or just focus on the build as of now. Also leave out the ssd options for now, that will be a future upgrade because to be honest I really don't care too much for them.

Edit: I will pressure my aunt to bring me to a microcenter to get a deal on the cpu/mobo, even though I might need to pay her for gas :). So tell me the deals so I can pick up a few things while I'm there. I can't wait for the replies to start building.

Edit 2: Saw an open box ghz edition 7970 for 300 which is available at the microcenter.

Edit 3: Think i will go with amd mobo/cpu. 990fx + 8350.

Ok guys I might be going beyond the budget with this but how about this combo?

Cupu/mobo - is amd 8350/990fx
Graphics card - msi 770 twin frozer 420 at microcenter

Now you all decide the rest and forgive my illiteracy when dealing with computer and parts.

Unless you prefer NV(which I do :p) grab a 7970, something like this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127732

haha i don't really have preferences but since this build will be completed around November I have no problem getting the 770 now and save up money to get other parts. Bills are what is actually making it take so long.

Also please can you make a build centered around the card that is not to costly but allow me to take full advantage of it.

Sure thing

1.Cpu+MB 4670K+MSI GD 65 $240 + $190 = $430

2.Ram 2X8 Gb Corsair,Gskill Corsair $129

3.Disk SDD 256Gb Samsung 840 evo + 2Tb WD Cavier black $183 + $160 = $343

4.Case Haf XB $100

5.GPU 770/7970 depending on preference $300

6.PSU Corsair 750 $110

Total $1412

There are couple of modifications you can make for e.g. opt for a 120 Gb SSD, choose 8350 instead of 4670

tg2708, AMD FX makes no sense on this budget. For gaming, Intel is better, this is fact not fanboy talk.

I interpreted your OP so that you have $1300 to spend on the PC including monitor, was that correct? If so I'd grab the below, and a VG248QE for $251

You have a microcenter nearby? Definitely grab mobo+CPU there.

i5-4670K + MSI Z87-G41 $255

The rest from newegg:

Freezer i30 $30 (optional, but necessary for OC)
G.Skill Ares 2x4 1600Mhz $55 AP
Plextor M5P 128GB $100 (5 year warranty)
WD Blue 1TB + Samsung DVD Burner $82
HIS 7970 IceQ X2 + CM 690 II ATX case $351 AR
Antec EA-650 $70
Win 7 64 $91

= $1034

Good but isn't the 7970 old. Can you do one center around the 770. And yes the op mentioned including the monitor but take it out for now and lets make the pc happen. Also is that a good motherboard I need a top shelf one.

You are all helpful but can you please take out the ssds and I will need no more than 8 gb ram for now. Im mostly focused on the gfx card, the cpu and mobo, power supply and fans.

Edit: I have decide on the graphics card it will be the msi 770 or whatever brand you think it is best.

770 is newer yes, but it's just a rehash of the 600 series. Nothing dramatically new was introduced, so in essence AMD 7000 series is just as modern.

The 7970 is much better bang for buck than the 770 - it has 3GB VRAM, performs roughly the same and costs $100 less. So no I won't recommend a 770 rig because it doesn't make any sense to me at these prices

Fair enough but can you choose a different brand like msi and also that combo and case i don't like. Just remember you are all the experts, so i will take your advices.

HIS is a decent brand, especially recently their coolers have really come through and challenged the usual favorites of Asus, MSI and Gigabyte. I picked the HIS card mainly due to the combo with the case. Other brands would end up costing more and I'm not convinced it'd be worth it

Can you be more specific - what don't you like about the case? If I just recommended something else without knowing your preferences, I'd be just shooting in the dark.

The carbide 300r seems like a nicer to me and the sapphire (300 after rebate) card looks better to me. Also the combo deal on newegg is on auto-notify. Also is the ghz edition of the card worth it?

Can you tell me what it is about the 300R that you like better? It's a good case when you can get it for $50 AR, but currently it is $80

Good catch, the card was still in stock earlier today. I would get the Sapphire card

The GHZ edition of the card isn't worth it, you can just OC it yourself.

EDIT: there's still one Fractal Design R4 in stock for $70: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008HD3E82/?tag=pcpapi-20

It seems to me you're judging the case and the card purely by their appearance. If you disagree, can you tell me what it is about the 300R and the Sapphire card that make them better? I don't see it.

Good catch, it was still in stock earlier today.

Its mostly about looks than anything else.

You constantly say that you aren't an expert but then ask for radical (some would say debilitating) changes to the builds that experts are posting for you. How much sense does that make?

You have to do more than say you'll take advice, you actually have to take it to heart or give a reason that you don't want something beyond "I don't like it".

For what it's worth, I think that lehtv has posted a very nice build for you.

Ok thanks for your reply most of the items are already in the newegg cart but i will leave the the mobo/cpu and windows 7 purchase for another time. Also the mobo for the 4670k, should I go with the asrock extreme4 and the ram (ripjaws instead of ares) and psu should i just stick with ones he listed or do you have an input?

Assuming you're going to buy the CPU and mobo at Microcenter, I think what lehtv has picked out is a good deal. I don't really see a rationale for getting a more expensive board in your case.

As for the RAM, if what you've picked out costs less than $55, then that's fine, otherwise get the Ares that lehtv linked. The heatspreader style is the only real difference.

The Earthwatts 650 is also good, I don't see any other (good) PSUs on Newegg that are at $70 or less right now.

Thanks but i think I'll have leave out the psu for now too but within the next few weeks after this two I will finalize the build. Also I went with sapphire instead of msi but both were the same price. Also do you think purchasing the 7970 now will make me regret it when the newer model comes out.

Edit: The ram the reason why i asked about it was because people mentioned the z77 mobo for it so i had the wierd felling it was not for it.

I would absolutely NOT recommend buying parts piecemeal and locking in decisions weeks in advance. Save up your money until you buy the whole PC at once, that way you won't paint yourself into a corner in case you get a DOA part.
