(1)Dual XP 1800+
Has yet to turn in a WU, due to it locking after 4 secconds of CPU time
Somehow in the last 15 minutes I "fixed" that (really it just started working)

Congrats!!!

If it cotinue to lock up i would check the temperature in the bios, if that is normal then i would check the ram next..

but if it isn't broken (as it isn't now) dont fix it :D

P.s....tell us the truth...U "fixed" it by kicking it..didn't ya!

hehe, no I just moved it...

It was the only thing that actually caused the computer to crash. I've run things other than SETI that took up 100% of both cpu's for more than 2 hours, and the computer was still rock solid, but load up SETI, boom! it crashed. Oddest thing, oh well I guess I don't have to think about it anymore sence it's "fixed"...

Edit:
includes the system specs and an actual WU time...

2x 1800+ @ 1533MHz
256MB of Crucial PC2100 @266MHz
Tyan Tiger MP ver 1.03

Does a WU in 4 hr 27 min

i just added my parents old monster a celeron 400 mhz. that puppy should pump it out.

plus ive increased the clock of my 2500+ to 2.1 ghz (210 mhz fsb) so that should help crank out some more work units.

I wonder when my car's *computer* will be able to crunch WU's...after all...they keep telling us they'r emaking "smarter cars"

:Q

Building both of may parents machines for Christmas. Both will come preloaded with SETI as a service :). Parts should be here by the end of the week, with WU's appearing by the beginning of the next for testing, then will be more speratic after gift giving and install. My father will likely run it 24/7 while mother = maybe 48 hrs a week.

Included is an upgrade of my current machine, and maybe a new box built from the old parts. Not sure if I will have the $ or not for that.

Asked boss if I could install SETI on 240 machines at work on my own time. Answer = no. Fans are temp controled, and get loud if run @ 100% :( Poopie.

Upgraded my Athlon XP system, ram went from 300MHz to 438MHz (OCZ Gold PC3700, yea, under clocked). Increased the FSB on another system in my herd as well....doing what I can.

I'm going to toss in an old P3-533 and a Celeron 533 once the Berk server gets up and caught up with requests.

EDIT - Added 2 more! w00t! :D
