I figure I REALLY don't want to finish SETI with a 1 year old account with no work units. Adding an 1800+ for a while :p

Recieved my new AMD64 3200+ last night. Will get it fired up tonight when I get home from work and get XP installed. Anxious to see what it will do with WU's.
Now all I need is a 64 bit SETI Client! :D

Wow, those processors perform excellent at SETI@Home based off of benchmarks I have seen! It can average about 1:45 per WU! That will really help out. :)

OK,

The deed is done.

P3-450
1.2 ghz Atlon
2.8 ghz P4
-------------

Coming by end of week hopefully:
1700+ guaranteed to do 2.1+

Will lose production when parts for that 1700+ system comes as i shuffle around cases & systems are taken apart to be salvaged for other systems. The 2.8 will run non-stop, the 1.2 will move to another case, the 1700+ will go into the 1.2's case and well I will Lose the P3-450 b/c of it but if i can find some way to get a cheap $10 case i will add that back *if* i deem it necessary (3 wu/day does = 21 a week :/ )

Whew. I'm now tired & my ears are not thanking me for firing up those systems in my room. The added noise is tangible. I wish i could get this P4 system quiter :(

PM me your mailing address. I'm pretty sure I have a 300W Power Supply sitting around my workshop. It's yours. ;)

Why so much Celery's? Why not a whole bunch 2100+'s which will beat a 2.8GHz Celeron anyday.

Added a dual PIII Xeon 400 MHz today. SHould be good for another 4 WU per day.

I won't be able to use the quad PIII Xeon 1 GHz (alas).

However, I found the install CD for the HP9000 so when it's done, I'll have the HPUX PARISC client running on it. Dunno how many procs it has on it.

For now that's all I can add, but still scrounging around for more to add to the cause!!

B52GUNR, you really ought to join up with the best tech support team. You obviously already know how to hook up your modem. :p :D

Wow, how do you get all of those Celerons? I just added them up, that's 49.56GHz! Even thought most of them have very little cache which is a bummer. Can we have all the system specs?

256MB of ram on all of them. Normal 5400 and 7200 HDD's, etc.

Will be about 188ghz if all goes as planned

So you have Eighty-Five 2.2GHz Celerons laying around? Where do you work?

I think the total will be more like:

75 - 2.2ghz Celeron
23 - 900mhz Celeron
1- XP 2100
1- Duron 750 mhz

give or take. It wont be as impressive as if the Celery's were P4 Ht :)

1x Duron 900 running linux ( my "i'm gonna learn it this time if it kills me" project box )
1x p2 4xx to be reconditioned and added tonight or tomorrow

plus my "old" herd
2x 1400 tbird
2x xp2000

Got the AMD64 3200+ set up with WinXP tonight. My first WU was at 2:02. That's at stock everything. Nothing OC'd.

Will play with it some more over my four day weekend and see if I can squeeze some more out of it.
