New BF3 video out, 12 minutes of gameplay

I just built this PC, but I have a feeling I'm going to need another GPU by the time this comes out to do it justice :\
 
I'm not going to ruin 12 minutes of this game for myself, but I flicked through some bits of the video and it looks pretty sweet.

I wish they'd release some MP footage or non-Fault Line footage.

Yeah me either. Saw a guy get shot in slow-mo then jumped to some cars being blown up and a building falling over. That was enough for me. The last battlefield I ever played online was BF 1942 on my Radeon 9700pro, so, I have absolutely ZERO clue what to expect in multi-player. Should be a fun reintroduction.
 
One major improvement is that it appears you can go prone again. That was lacking in BC2 for some weird ass reason. Glad to see it's back again.
 
Can't wait to play this on my next PC, which will more than likely be a fully loaded Alienware M18X. I haven't really built/bought a new PC since BF2.

Looking forward to BF3.
 
This game is going to be pretty dam sweet. I can't wait to see some multiplayer and jets etc....I bet your going to need some serious hardware to run it at full graphic mode though....

What they've shown so far, while awesome, hasn't really revealed what the core BF-style play mechanics will be like. Those mechanics are what all of us BF fans buy the games for, and in its class no BF title has to play second fiddle to some nouveau nade-spamming cage match FPS like CoD 🙂.
 
Looks good, but looks like it will play to much like COD crap. BF2 was the best FPS ever, i dont think this one will be very good.

What we're seeing the SP. Think MP will stay true to it's roots.

The graphics looked great until the hand fight scene, then it looked like a HL2 mod. Maybe they didn't bother much with skin textures since the face is the only thing you usually see.

Yeah I was about to say something. After all of the complaining I have seen regarding Crysis 2's graphics, I am surprised to see nearly no one saying that the graphics in BF3 don't appear to be much better (if better at all). But it's pre-alpha, it seems? Looks fun either way.
