I don't like them. Maybe because they are so different than the ones we wear already. I won't complain too much though, I could have to wear blues all the time!

The Marine's new uniform is already being used. I wondered how long it would be before the other branches updated theirs.

I just noticed my base is on the test list. Wonder who will get them. I also didn't notice any stripes on the picture displaying the 2 airman, just curious on how they are planning that implementation.

Airmen from a cross section of Air Force career fields will provide feedback on the fit, durability and functionality of the proposed ensemble that will come in men's and women's cuts.
First time I ever heard fatigues called an 'ensemble'.

Maybe they did the whole thing underware, bra and shirts...

Only in the Air Force.

I'm hoping that the new Army Chief of Staff, General Schoomaker, will get rid of this damn beret for daily wear and go back to the softcap for the Army. Opinion seems to be running high that that's what the soldiers want.

I suppose since AF is never in infanty no need to have camo if your on a base, This stuff is more camo on pavement than the reg bdu's IMO. yeah and they're a hell of alot better than blues I couldn't stand to wear them(atleast in comparison to the other branches dress uniforms....

I like the tiger stripe pattern, but tucking in the BDU blouse is lame...and the hat is a rip off of the USMC hat...

I think the patterns on US BDU's need to be tighter and smaller. The current German BDU is made up of dots (nickle or quater sized I think) and it does a better job of "breaking up" the form/outline of a persons body than US BDU's do IMO. A few years ago I was on a train in Germany and there were a few German soliders, wearing BDU's, sitting a across the isle and a row up. one of the guys was facing me had his arms crossed in his lap and I couldn't make out where his sleeve stopped and his jacket began. Granted the light was a bit dim (inside of a train on a cloudy German day) but still that was some effective looking camo.

I like the current BDUs - and so do my parents (both are in the Air Force).

Man, and I thought the Army Beret was stupid looking. These are some ugly, ugly uniforms.

like these?

Personally, i think the other services are going to change their woodland design because the USMC changed THEIRS, and it's all about oneupmanship here. Granted, I think OUR uniforms are ugly, too, but at least they're effective for camouflage, which, unlike some of the other branches, we actually NEED when we deploy. (you don't need camouflage much when you're staying in hotels) :D And what's up with the other services and their silly berets? Why even wear cammies? That's like us wearing the cammie bottoms and our dress coat on top.

Yeah, the AF is ripping off the USMC cover block design, but its still better than what they have now.
