I don't care how many Oscars that Titanic won, it was about 2 hours and 59 minutes too long for my tastes.........
Better version of Titanic

In terms of sheer size of production Titanic was amazing. The movie was pretty entertaining. I liked the score, the sets/costumes, the plot was good.Originally posted by: pulse8

How do u know about the changes?
I hope the citizen kane circle jerk ends
It doesn't. Kane is still no. 1
Somehow The Godfather became a better movie than Casablanca during the last ten years.
as for Goodfella: better than 6th sense, not better than Titanic.
Also not so excited about 2001 space odyssey climbing even higher. But i think personally I dont like Kubrik's movies
Goodfellas not better than Titanic? Are you high?
I think a lot of women would disagree with you on Goodfella being better than Titanic, and maybe some Academy voters as well

its a top 100 films from the past 100 years that they update EVERY YEAR.... seems really pointless to me
Probably every 10 years.
from the website
Each year, AFI presents another episode in its widely acclaimed series of CBS television specials -- AFI's 100 Years...100 Movies
what do they do the other nine years then?
edit* ahh there's other lists. I just read it wrong I guess

it's nice to see that apparently in the past 8 years the only movie made worthy of making the list was lord of the rings. This just reaffirms my idea that the studios are really just pumping out crap.

Raging bull going up +20 into the top 4 is bullsh1t. how can a movie that was top 20 10 years ago be suddenly among the top 5 american films of all time? having THAT much movement within the top is ridiculous, especially by a film that's already been listed. how did it magically get that muc hbetter in 10 years time
