Well, i picked it up a couple of days ago, and after being completely stunned by the game's complexity, am now starting to get into it. It took me well over an hour to create my first character, because i wanted to know what everything does. In the end i realised that "recommended" was pretty much the same thing i wanted anyway and chose it instead. First character was an Elven Wizard, but he didn't go very far - i hated him. Sure, he would be very powerful later on, and i would probably stick with him if NWN was an MMORPG, but it isn't, so i started over with a Human Barbarian, who is a LOT more fun to play.
Didn't get very far with him either yet - just created him an hour or two ago. Tried to save that poor guard that never returned from guard duty, but couldn't handle the second boss. Going back now, i think i'll either head to the Tavern or go on with the main quest and head to the Peninsula.
So far, the game looks good. Music is great, but dynamic music isn't very well implemented - when is it ever! Main complaint is that it's simply off when my character isn't in combat. Graphics are good, i love the shadows! Could be better of course, but i'm just very picky. The storyline sounds like it will be a blast!
Of course, i haven't played nearly long enough to judge the game, but if you think you have, go ahead and vote. Or you can save your vote for when you're ready to make the call in a couple of days.
