He has no affection for the game specifically, he's just a huge Sony fanboy. He jumps in any thread even remotely mentioning them, often derailing threads in his tireless, fanatical defense of the brand. He doesn't spare their competition either, jumping in those threads as well to put them down and promote Sony. World of Warcraft has been a favorite target of his. He probably works for Sony or owns a lot of stock.
As opposed to the person who jumps in every thread even remotely related to Sony with the sole intent to bash Sony? When have I ever directly promoted Sony, btw? I give credit when credit is due and insults when they are due, which is why I clash with yourself a lot.
For the record, I stay out of threads related to Planetside, SWG, and MxO because I've never played those games. PS3 threads are also mostly avoided because I really don't care that much about consoles. I bash WoW because the game is utter garbage and filled with 12 year old idiots, not exactly my play style.
I don't work for Sony, Atari, Obsidian, or Bioware. But I do know a game with a lot of potential and a great deal of quality, and a great deal of potential still untapped. NWN2 is the best RPG released in 2006, hands down. Granted its competition was limited to Oblivion and G3, but technically those were just FPS games with RPG elements and a 3rd person perspective available.
When NWN1 was released, people railed against the bugs and condemned Atari for pushing out an unfinished title. Today, NWN1 is considered one of the best RPG titles ever created with perhaps hundreds of thousands of play hours and modules to suit every players taste. NWN2 cannot be expected to equal that a mere 3 months after its release. Obsidian is fixing the bugs, as evident from their patches and stance in the community forums. Give NWN2 a year and you'll see plenty of content to slate your appetites. A quick spot check of the NWN2 modules forum reveals several promising modules already in development.
