I cayn't quit you WM. I bin fixin to but just cayn't.

Seriousry, outside of Costco (which isn't always convenient) they have the lowest prices around on certain vital supplies such as CL solution. For some reason, other local mongers are a rip off (fifty-percent-ish more). I'll hafta place a bulk mail order sometime I reckon -like the size of a transfer case.

Last time I was at WM the clerk inadvertently pushed the "cash" button rather than "credit" which nonsensically resulted in having to debag, rescan, and rebag every item again. It was a total clusterfark of three or four people. Stuff happens but I don't blame the clerk so much as their oddball system. Oh yeah, and WM's supposedly acclaimed inventory management system failed me that day since three (count them: three) fairly random items which were specifically on my shopping list were OOS. That's inexcuseable, really.

Thank god I got the hell out of retail so I don't have to deal with idiots who think, like the OP, that just because they have an idea in their head, it should be reality.

Maybe your brother screwed up. Maybe you mis-remembered the amount. WTF do you expect a cashier to do for you in this situation? Most cashiers (provided they aren't also supervisors/floor managers) do NOT have the ability to make the decision to just give you 10 bucks. Your pissy attitude there was completely uncalled for and probably ruined that cashiers day. Congratulations on contributing to humanity in a positive way.

Speaking to the other, more senior employees the way you did was also inexcusable. Who the hell do you think you are and why do you feel so superior? Regardless of what you do for a living, you are not a better, higher, more valuable person than even the lowest retail/fast food employee.

Great way to handle a very small hiccup. You pissed on a lotta people's days for absolutely nothing.

Indeeed and agreeed.

I am surprised the OP didn't pull a Howell and declare: "Why, I'll have your job!" (meaning have them fired).

You sounded like a condescending d!ckhead from the outset.

I'm not saying you are a d!ckhead, just that if you were standing next to one I may not recognize the difference.

I tried doing a search for OPs previous posts and it didn't come up with anything!
Oops, my bad, I was off by 10. I typed Com80777 instead of Com80787.
I feel so ripped off.
MANAGER!!!

Too bad his user name isn't Com80777. 80787 is probably his birthday (And yet he talks down to another 20 year old). Then he would be 10 years older & not post stupid inane shit like this.

OP, stop talking. Just like you told that 20 year old manager. But unlike you, he was right. You are making a complete fool out of yourself with every post.

Also, wow. Your brother must really care if he gave you a Walmart gift card for a present. 😀isgust;

Sounds like they gave you the customer service you asked for.

If customers are nice, they generally get treated nice. If the customer's an ass, then they get treated like one.

So you're saying I should just buy $20 gift cards for people and write $30 on them with a marker and then every company should just credit these people $10 just for the hell of it? OK... Sounds like a great plan.

lol 😀

The service at walmart varies quite a bit depending on management and local labor. Two out of three near me are managed well and are well stocked and clean, while the third (open 24 hours) is sh!t.

Whatever all I can say is that if I was the cashier I would have just credited $10 for good customer service.

Put yourself in their shoes. If you were the manager and have dealt with enough scammers like you, would you give the customer $10 just because "he said so"?

Maybe your brother mixed the cards up, or he's got bad handwriting and the 3 is actually a 2.

you're an asshole. there was probably only $20 on the card.

Even if their system said it was $20 they could have at least offered some good customer service and credited me the $10. More than likely one of their employees screwed up.

And his attitude telling me he'll "say anything he wants" was also unacceptable. Especially after I told him not to talk.

LOL!

The point is $10 is nothing to a company like wal-mart. Why lose a customer over $10? I left a basket full of stuff for them to take back to the floor. I had my debit card IN HAND ready to pay after they credited me my $10. They lost more money than they saved.

the reason they're so successful and still in business is because they don't offer handouts

OP, you need to have the GC receipt as proof. Ask your brother to give it to you.

OTOH, your attitude needs major adjustment.

To the poster that said shopping at Wal Mart = trailer trash. Last time I checked, WM = largest retail in the world, not just the US. They do have brand name merchandises such as Panasonic, Toshiba just to name a few.

I can't believe everyone is taking this thread seriously. I know how to spot a troll. I used to be one. Maybe I still am one.

I would recognize the fingerprints anywhere.

The rest of the threads he created seemed rather ordinary

Why the fuck would he listen to you about not talking? WHO ARE YOU?

hahah this thread delivers

I told him not to talk because I was trying to talk to the senior manager not the 20 year old low level manager who's opinion didn't matter and kept trying to tell me what he thought.

I love people like you, who think they're 100% right when they have 100% NO clue. Also, who are you to tell him not to talk? I find that completely unacceptable, especially when you're in HIS store, trying to get his help. Maybe you knock off the attitude and see how people will actually try to help you, instead of telling you to GTFO.

If you had called in and gotten me and came off with an attitude like that, I wouldn't have even put you through to a manager, you would've gotten absolutely jack from me, and you would've deserved it.

exactly, if I was the first manager he talked to and he copped an attitude like that I would have NEVER called the store manager over. He can deal with me or no one. If he continued to get out of line I would have asked security to escort him out and hand him the phone number to corporate.

I agree, you suck and you are one of the reasons retail work sucks. I worked for walmart for 6 years and I've seen plenty of losers juser like yourself. No one owes you anything so stfu. A cashier couldn't even if they wanted to give you $10 for poor customer service, the whambulance is that way -->

And walmart is happy to never have you in their stores. They don't like stupid customers like yourself.

You are black aren't you? I can tell by your avatar and your ludicrous "everything is free" behavior.

:rolleyes;

I'd say it's more likely that your brother had a memory slip, and THOUGHT he bought the card for $30, but instead only put $20 on it, than it is that their system is incorrect.

Beyond that, it definitely seems like you acted, and reacted, inappropriately given the situation.

Edit: And to reverse the situation, had you thought the card was for $20, but it in fact ended up being worth $30, would you have paid the extra $10 to Wal-Mart as a "thank you" to them for having provided you with the extra money?
