Mother effing SHENS. There is NO fooking way, that someone with your writing and grammar skills has a secretary or a need to go on a business trip.

Maybe he writes and speaks English so badly that he needs a secretary just to do anything.
I am neutral about Delta, but I hate American Airlines.

Southwest and Alaska FTW.

primerica huh?

That would be great. It would also explain a lot.

It's kinda funny, but that makes all the pieces fit together perfectly, including the mother/son team. (Any other of the largest financial firms in the world with such nepotism?)

OP, is he correct?

I call your shens, and raise you two shens.

this guy is blatantly trying to brag in every post about being an important person even if its irrelevant to the rest of the post. WTF cares who you are, luggage gets lost.....get over it. If you're too stupid to realize that then you shouldnt be flying.

what a tool

If you fly, you are going to get bags delayed. Deal with it.

Yup, you just gotta deal with it. Never check anything you will need in the next couple of days and be prepared to lose anything you check.

I used to fly a lot and just came to expect that my luggage would be delayed. I actually counted on it sometimes since then I could just take the bus/train whatever and have them deliver my luggage😀 Two years ago I had my bags delayed for a week, I was flying from the US to Europe to US to Japan in that week. They kept trying to deliver but it would be after I had left for my next destination. It was amusing in a way, and SAS gave me something like 200Euros for delayed luggage, United and ANA didn't give me anything though.

Then there was the time in Heathrow when there was a problem with the hydraulics, they could still fly but had severe weight restrictions so they had to unload everyones luggage and send it on the next plane.

So i was on a business trip to North Carolina. We were heading back to Los Angeles, on a connecting flight though Cincinatti.

The plane had delayed takeoff, and i was sitting wondering what was wrong with the delay. I look out the window and i noticed 2 of my lugages were being removed. I imediately lunged at the door and asked What the hell they were doing. The Delta employee stated there was a weight issue on the plane so they had to take the lugage off.

Now i counted a total of 4 lugages which couldnt total to more then 80-90 lbs. My 2 suit cases were exactly 28lbs and 17lbs each. The other 2 i saw were close to the same weight unless they filled them with lead.

I told the employee that there was senstive items inside the plane which required IMEDIATE attention once i arrived in LA. The Delta airlines employee stated that dont worry Sr, your lugage will get to LA b4 you will though a different flight.

I then asked the delta worker, can you promise me that? he said with a smile, yes sir, i will gaurentee that. I work in the industry where if a worker promises something, the company must hold that promise or offer some sort of compensation. NASD.

Now i get to Cincinatti, and goto customer support. They tell me that the lugages were on the plane with me. Now, how the hell can that be when i saw them pull my lugages off? So i once again told them the story at Cincinatti, and the Cus. Rep. there said, dont worry sir, if they promised you that, it will get there.

7 hours later, i get to LA. Guess what? NO luggages. Now my items which were PROMISED TWICE, never got there. Okey, i we were a bit pissed, and asked the clerk, can you have it sent to us by 12pm. I told them of the promise there company made twice, and they said they would work hardest to meet that promise. Okey, last chance from me.

We got a call today, our lugages arrived at 10am, my secretary is now stuck in Oaklahoma. And which im guessing our lugages was in atlanta on her flight, came B4 my secretary. She was suposed to be here last night, but got held up because of a delay. She had to spend the night alone without any coworkers in Atlanta.

We contacted coporate, and my mom got into a heated arguement with CR. I then took the phone because they told my mom to learn how to speak english. She has a slight korean accent, but if she can conduct multi million dollar life insurance contracts with amercians, I think her english is quite good.

In short, i know i can report this incident to the BBB, because i have witness on the plane who heard the promise. No i wasnt dumb about this, And also i need more roads to follow to ensure they get whats coming.

Anyone know what other roads i can goto? Do i get the FAA involved in this as well?

Thanks for listening to my rant, and thank you for any advice given.

you mom got on the phone to argue your case?!

bwahahahwhahahahahahahahha

that blows the seriousness of this thread right out the window. good luck in people treating this tread w/any respect and importance, and significance. it;'s going to get trivilized

carry on luggage FTW. keep everything you need that is vital with you in thew overhead. DUH!

My first thought when reading your rant was that perhaps there was a language barrier issue, because you're not very good with English.

Then I got to this part:

and I laughed.

Oh, the ironing.

Speak for yourself. It's irony.

(just so no one thinks I'm stupid, I'm laughing at Dacalo)

The FAA doesn't give a shit about your lost luggage (this is the plural form btw). Keep calling them but be polite and calm but be sure to stress the importance of your luggage, in the future do NOT check anything that you absolutely need.

IMO, The #1 rule of flying is don't ever put anything in checked baggage you would have a problem with never seeing again in this lifetime.

never have truer words been spoken.

Seriously.

I'm calling shens.

americans weigh more than the average person so the plane does not have to be fully occupied to reach the limit for passenger weight

what??? planes also carry pax, luggage and cargo. (parcels, freight, etc.)
pax is the most planned out, and if it was a stupid American's are heavier issue which you are implying, then Delta knows their load outs for each plane, since it was a domestic flight.
And there are other factors besides what they are carrying. Runway lengths, altitude, temp, etc.
These are all used when booking flights.
The flight wasn't that long, and it didn't sound like a regional jet. At smallest, it was a 737.
And these have more then enough muscle and lift to deal with a full domestic route of any sort.
Unless someone frieghted gold bars.
I am sure they are conservative on the loads so they go nuts over 60 lbs.

you asked for passenger load

because it's the only factor we can get from the OP. He won't know how much was in the holds. If he responded with no, it's a no-brainer shens declaration.

Why did you check something in that is perishable?

I have never flown Delta but I've never ever lost luggage with United. *knock on wood*

Yeah - last time I flew Delta, they had me booked in Row 71 of a 68-row airplane. I had reserved a window seat in the row that didn't exist but wound up siting in the middle between 2 big guys.

Something perishable that requires immediate attention at destination?

Sounds like your lunch to me.
