Dude...move in with family or something....salvage some money while you can...you are just gonna add more stress than you need and it will only impede your job search.

The company I work for is looking for a senior level ui designer for the web. Here's the job description. PM me if interested

User Interface Designer ~ Create Intuitive UI Elements

For the refined UI Designer with an established history of delivering intuitive, web-based applications to solve business problems, this is your opportunity to grab the UI bull by the horns and get in on the ground level of new cutting-edge business solutions products. We're in the development phase of a brand new product line for our customers where you'll have a deep stake in ownership and have a direct impact on both the creation and evolution of our products and the future of our company. In this highly visible role, you'll enjoy the autonomy of driving all facets of the user interface technology and thrive in our creative and collaborative environment.

CrownPeak is an established and growing Software-as-a-Service company, located in Los Angeles, California. CrownPeak provides a suite of award winning, hosted software solutions to online marketers and web site managers. CrownPeak's 360 Degree Site Management suite includes industry-leading Web Content Management, Site Search, Analytics, E-mail Campaign Management and Web Hosting. CrownPeak is privately held and venture-capital backed, and the majority of its revenue is from multi-year, recurring contracts with a very high customer retention rate. CrownPeak is one of the most stable and growing high-tech companies in California.

As our Senior UI Designer, you'll work in our Culver City office as you provide substantive input into the flow and structure of our products. Leverage your UI/UX background to create a platform where users will immediately grasp how they can modify and create new content, understand the relationships between content elements, create reports on campaign success and clearly view and act on site visitor data. Blend your polished UI portfolio with rich creative UI elements, shaken with a little Web 2.0 appeal and stirred into our users' needs and rise to the challenge of providing an easy-to-understand interface for relatively complex problems. You're ahead of the curve when it comes to new technology, which will position you to help rewrite our web content management application interface from AJAX to a new Rich Internet Application framework like Silverlight or Flex. Your proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator, coupled with basic web animation skills are a perfect match for producing strong visual prototypes and serving as an inspirational force in creating the look and feel of our products. Collaborate with our brilliant engineers, IA specialists and product managers as you represent the voice of the user to integrate intuitive elements and functional aesthetic appeal to bolster successful interactive user experiences and provide innovative business solutions.
