My company (located in Manhattan, NYC, and in the financial industry) has an immediate need for a Network Engineer. Main roles will be:

- Cisco and Juniper Switch, Firewall, Routers: maintenance, troubleshooting, and configuration changes

However, the environment is not very large, so Server Administration roles and responsibilities will also be expected. The environment mainly consists of:

- Windows 2003/2008
- Exchange 2010
- CA ArcServe backup
- VMware vSphere
- NetApp SAN

This is mainly a "mid-level" role. Please PM me if interested, thank you.

My company, Check Point Software Technologies, the firewall company has entry level tech advisor openings starting in June in Irvine, TX (also in Israel IIRC). This one leans towards support for SA and Brazil, but there can be other openings.

https://careers.checkpoint.com/careers/index.php?m=joborders&a=show&jobOrderID=1119&country_code=US

It is entry level tech support on a help line, but... it is security, firewalls, with good benefits fulltime and great insurance. Most of the brick and motar sites have free lunch too. :)

George Ellis
Pro Srvcs Consultant @ Check Point

Keep an eye on the site as there are always openings.

It's laid back, you self-manage yourself...the keys are meeting deadlines and setting/meeting the customer's (internal and external) expectations.

They do offer relocation at times for the right candidate.

This position is looking to hire immediately and the 'official' job listing has not been put up yet.

The technical interview is a real one. You will be asked to rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 10...do not answer 10 unless you are ready to face questions that show a true mastery of a subject :)

PM me if you have a resume you would like forwarded and I will get it to the right party. Please make sure you meet the requirements above.
