Another thing is that when the entire file is sitting on the PC, seeking around is much faster, like instant vs seconds of delay. And when you torrent you get all 15 episodes in one shot.

That is my biggest reason for torenting right there. I like having the file in hand, and ready to watch any time I want, and all episodes at once when it comes to TV shows. I could try to catch them on TV and PVR them or what not, but it's just easier to do a search, plug the torrent in my web based local seedbox, and come to it later.

Do you have any idea how easy it is to set them on PVR? This isn't the 90s with VCR recording. It's literally set and forget. I don't even need to remember from season to season or changes in air dates, it tags the show forever.

The only "argument" here is storage and portability. Ease is clearly not a valid excuse to torrent.

But then it's on a "magic box" that I can't do anything with and I HAVE to be in my house in front of the TV to watch it, and hope it does not eventually get overwritten. When I have a file on hand I can watch it anywhere. Ex: at work during night shifts (my job gives me that luxery).

Which is storage and portability not ease. If only someone pointed this out sooner. :D
