I've been waiting for this for over a year now. Looking forward to Sunday.

I hate him. He's so proud of playing a part in dethroning Pluto as a planet. Probably the only thing he'll ever do in the field of science besides tell stories about real/working scientists.

I believe he's just a planetarium director.. how cool is that? pfft... punk.

I know, right? I mean, just listening to real scientists stammer and stutter and speak the vernacular in such a forgetful and boring manner gets me all wet:wub:

Its going to be on quite a few different channels: http://www.cosmosontv.com/

Looks like the Fox affiliated ones get it Sunday (and maybe are airing it later when they have no worthwhile content, I mean its on Fox Sports 1 and 2?). I saw something saying Nat Geo will air it Monday but the site says 10 on Sunday so not sure. I'm sure it'll get quite a few repeats like Planet Earth did though.

No idea on Hulu, there's no mention of them getting to air it on their site yet but hopefully they will. And hopefully it can go on Netflix soon too.

30 minutes until I get to see the first episode! I'm in the theater right now!

Where'd you get to see it at?

Soooo jealous. Can't wait to see it.

Now that I've had a day to digest it I gotta tell you even if I posted spoilers and I won't. I doubt it in any way would decrease the wonderment and awe. And particularly how the first episode ends my girlfriend and I both choked up and almost cried again just talking about it....just so good.

On an different note but still important Ann Druyan who is Sagans widow stated in the webcast post episode that she and the other producers made it part of the deal that the network could not cut anything unsavory out at all.

Good. I read some other feedback about the first episode that mentioned a couple of other things they didn't shy away from mentioning. I wonder if they'll explain tides for Bill O'Reilly? :D

I wonder if they'll cover any of the recent multi-verse theories that some scientists have been hypothesizing and theorizing about in recent years.

Michio Kaku reminds me as much as Carl Sagan as anyone else.

.....

Minor spoilers but they do talk briefly about the multiverse in episode one and the visuals at that point were definitely tripping even while sober.

For those asking where I saw it, at Cranbrook Science Center in the Detroit area. They were one of just a few places chosen to pre screen it.

And the post episode webcast Neil Tyson was discussing the idea of multiverses and then multiple multiverses and Seth MacFarlane blurts out when Tyson was done speaking "You just blew my fucking mind man!!" Pulled out a mini whiskey bottle and took a drink. It was hilarious :D:D:D

cool cool, nice to see that. Hopefully they will still cover things like the Library of Alexandria while updating the subjects Carl Sagan covered and new theories that he unfortunately died too early to see proposed.

Still no idea yet, I assume Hulu but not sure as they don't say anything about if they'll get to stream it or not.

interestingly enough, Seth McFarlane's company produced it. He is more known for fart jokes and Family Guy.
