Also intersted in this. Dropped a key into the bush, one of those (do not make duplicate keys) and need to find it. Already looked, but no luck. Will a strong magnet/metal dector work?

Since you probably don't want to wait for a magnet to be shipped to you, make an electromagnet. You probably already have all the stuff to make an electromagnet. Wire, metal rod/nail and a power source.

Naa, its been there for weeks now. 🙂

I'm just going to bust open one of my dead hd's... Just so lazy...

Here.

The big boy can lift 47123.8lbs. 😉

I could picture my UPS guy trying to deliver this only to find himself pinned between the package and his truck, ultimately resulting in death or retardation.

I need one, stat. 🙂

You son of a bitch! 🙂

Look, they have Surefire L4s in stock $160 - get teh recharge also, and sve on bateries.

I dont know what kind of prices those E-tailers offer, but if you need any magnet at let me know. Custom sizes and quantities available. PM me.
Ceramic, Alnico, Neodenium etc etc.

By the way, DONT GET THE LARGE NEO. Those blocks are vicously strong. You wont remove them from anything they stick to without scratching the surface (Fridges etc)

I want to order two of those big boys, one with UPS, the other with Fedex, and schedule the deliveries at the same time. 😛

Alnico or ceramic is always fun. Ceramic can chip though. Neo is good and fun, but the big blocks and dangerously strong. If you do get neo, get the small sizes. Those 1.5" blocks, jesus man, you just dont know.......
We purchased those for an order, 50 or so blocks. I believe they were around 1x1x4 or so. Shipped together with 2 or 3 cardboard peices between each block. We had 2 HUGE guys, got one on either end and they had a helluva time pulling them apart. You really cant pull them apart, you have to kinda slide them so their off center, then twist them apart.

Those are nice, MaxDSP. I like using the bigger ones under the table to make my keys look like they're posessed, it always makes the kids smile. 🙂

Damnit, now I'm thinking of buying these from the same seller...http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=414&item=6107740492 :|

I lost the couple I pulled from my old hard drive...

I think these are the same magnets, but cheaper.
