She's 5'7 127, and she wants to lose 12 pounds... which will leave her with her ribs sticking out and all... Please help me get her to realise that her body is perfect as it is.

She's crazy. Just show her a tape of Anerxia and tell her she may end up looking like that unless she gains some weight. If that doesn't work just let it slide.

Is she your actualy "Girl Friend" or is it just your friend?

I'd seriously sit down and talk with her about it. She may actually listen to you. Just be like:

<YOU> Look we nned to talk
<HER> About what?
<YOU> Well you seriously should not loos any more weight I think if you do you will look worse than you do now.
<HER> I don't think I look good enough.
<YOU> Listen to me and trust me. Comming from us guys we don't dig the super skinny women.
<HER> Well I guess I'll keep my weight.

Then your happy. :D

chicks with eating disorders have really horrible hair. have you mentioned that? it's really brittle, very thin (and thinning), and looks dead. if she cares about her appearance maybe that'll turn her around a bit

and remind her that hip bones poking out are :barf;

Tell her if your her BF that it's your body too. Tell her that she looks good the way she is. Also with that line said you may get laid. Sorry to bring it off topic a bit. Just a little fun. But seriously, just say you think she's beutiful the way she is.

Tell her to stop looking in the mirror and just rely on what other people think. Tell her it's a bit selfish to do what she think's and not worry about what other people think.

It's driving me nuts, but I might just have to give up on this one, she's just getting madder and I'm getting more frustrated, neither of which is good

well then let her do it, but keep taking her out to nasty-food places... so it evens out.

It seems that she's going to act this way no matter what you say. If you can't talk her out of it, talk to her parents so that they can help her get both physical and psychological help; eating disorders are nothing to fvck around with.

Sounds like she has anorexia. If this is the case, what you say won't really help. She'll need professional counseling.

I will rejuvinate it tomorrow, she's horribly pissed at me now and told me that I need to let her do whatever she wants to her own body... and that it's none of my business and she shouldn't have let me find out in the first place.

Anorexia is a mental disorder, there's little an outside person that isn't a specialist can do to fight it. There's been a study that had shown that the Anorexia rate among people was the same in countries that didn't even have forms of media, that were still in tribal societies that valued weight gain.

I just find it odd, she's never shown these tendencies before, it was really random and out of the blue. She seems to have liked her body before.

BTW: she's officially forced it off subject and made the argument about me and her...

Unless she keeps going down like after this 15 another 10, just let this slide. Then just try to take her out to big greasy fried food places like McDonald's.

It's because its anorexia. Its a mental disorder (as previously mentioned) - this is NOT something you can "convince" her out of.
