Need more desk space (post pics of your setup)

Why don't you just buy a KVM switch that way you can eliminate 2 monitors and keep the best one for all three. Or you can have a dual monitor setup on all three computers 😀

I'm too lazy to bother with a pic right now. My computer sits on the floor at the foot of my bed, and I sit on the floor with it, typically using my laptop as a mousepad. 😀

I have yet to find a KVM switch that satisfies my needs. THe loss of video quality really bothers me.

What does your computer setup look like?

Mine <--- I need more space because I've got a 17" monitor to hook up.

Very similar, cept I only have one monitor (never could get myself into dual monitors) I VNC intomy server, so theres no need 🙂
You will never truly have enough space though my friend 🙂
The day you have enough space is the day you need to upgrade your crap 🙂

My setup.

The workstation on the left is my main rig where I waste my life away. The box in the middle on the floor is the server and the setup on the right is my secondary rig and the one my GF and son use when they are around. All are networked. (duh.)

Don't have a pic, but I use two folding tables (one 4' one and the other a 6'. I made an L, put the dual 19" monitors in the corner of the L (one on each table, pretty much together) and then my computer cases fit 1.) inbetween the legs of both tables, right under the dual monitors 2.) on the table, just to the right of the monitors. A few letter trays, sorters, and one small sauder type shoe rack under one of the tables acting as a printer/subwoofer/UPS stand and my desk is complete. Oh, and the biggest deskpad you can get from staples... that thing defines the area I keep clean.

Here is mine. I am in the process of building this desk, but I had to go TDY for a while and just got back. I have some finished trim to put on it and then I will either paint or stain it. It is a 10' x 4' "L" with stands for 3 computers. Lots of space now!

Desk <------------- The project 🙂

My Room

The "desk" on the left is actually a door propped up on two filing cabinets. It works real well, except I can't put anything heavy in the middle... hey, it was a $20 door, whaddya expect? 🙂

my area looks clean cuz well, i cleaned it up for the picture. too much junk laying around anyway.

i'm thinking about grabbing the 17" monitor the 21" replaced and hooking it up and setting it to the left of the big one just for grins or whatever. just haven't bothered yet. and my klipsch are now a gloried headphone amp for the grado sr60s since the baby has been here.
