I hate working on my office computer because I am so used to dual monitors. Of course when I am working in the Call Center, we have three monitor setups.:)

Dual (or triple, or quadruple; hey, why not octal :p) monitors are awesome. I had a dual setup here at home for a while, until the BNC cable on my old 17 inch monitor broke and my other 17 inch got a couple dead electron guns so the colors were FUBAR. Anyone who has used dual monitors and then been deprived knows how I felt for a while afterward when I had only a single 19 inch monitor. Of course, being able to run that monitor at 1600x1200 with decent refresh somewhat made up for the sad feelings. :)

In fact, just tonight I set up a dual monitor (not exactly, but read on and you'll find out) config on the A/V computer at church. They had an old ATI Rage Pro PCI card lying around, with which I had tried to unsuccessfully set up dual monitors a while back when the HP Crapvilion was running Windows ME. Just tonight, since the sermon was quite boring, and since the equipment is in a location where I could work on it without disturbing anyone, and since the Crapvilion has been running Windows 2000 Pro for some time now, I thought I might try my luck at setting up the card again. Things must have been running in my favor, because it worked fine the first time I tried booting it up after the service was over. Powerpoint rocks on an independent monitor and projector setup! :D

desk (from far away)
desk (closer up)

Desk is IKEA Jerker series, w/ add-on swivel shelf on the right side (can support a reasonably sized monitor). The whole thing is pretty versatile, and you can adjust the height of pretty much everything in ~2" increments. That's a 21" monitor, for scale. Plenty of room for my laptop on the right when I need it, and the Mac sits on the (large) mini-fridge to the left :)

I can hear you asking, "where are his speakers?".

Speakers? I don't need no stinking computer speakers!
(across the room, still hooked up to the computer of course)

Cool, same desk I have. Since I don't have a camera I'll try and describe how mine looks using your picture if you don't mind. :D

Ok, where the main LCD is slap a 19in CRT. Replace the right LCD and stand with a printer. Replace the speakers with Altec lansing ones. Replace the keyboard w/ a MS Natural Elite. Replace the computer and stand w/ just a computer. Top it all off with 5 tons of junk(cds, tools, knives, bottles, trash, etc.) and BAM! You have my setup.
I did't trust the monitor stand to hold the 19in nor did I trust the computer stand to hold my Antec case. ;)
