I just received a call from someone at NEC and they are sending me the check on Monday!

Sounds like the issue will be resolved all of us shortly if you have turned up the heat on them with complaints to the AG, BBB, etc.

Could you please share the phone number and whom you talked to so the rest of us can pressure them as well?

Hello Everybody,

Surprisingly I got $90 check from NEC rebate center for 17'' LCD Yesterday. Here is my story goes on.

I bought NEC 17'' LCD from Staples and sent the rebate form to NEC rebate center. As usual after 6 weeks i have checked the rebate status on their website. Unfortunately the system did not find my information. So I called them and spoke to "JENNIFER" (service advisor). she asked me to send the copies of rebate forms to different address at this time. So I sent it. I never stopped there. I have been sending emails to the following address. I have been contacting them regularly infact daily. finally I succeded.

The information i received from them was:

Dear xxx,

Thank you for contacting the NEC Rebate Processing Center.

We currently do not show a status for your rebate request, however you indicated that the rebate submission was sent very recently. We would like to ask that you allow up to 8 weeks after you mailed your submission before checking the status of your rebate, at which time your rebate should be received and in process.

Thank you for participating in our rebate program.

Sincerely,

Samantha

NEC Rebate Processing Center Team

My initial rebate form sent to the following address:

NEC 35 series LCD monitor
PO Box 410275, Dept 400
El Paso, TX 88541-

2nd time submission :

NEC Rebate Center
Attn: The Promotion NEC 35 series LCD Monitor
PO Box 72699
RockFord, MN 55572

You can always send email to the address. They will repsond lately (atleast 3 days after you send it). NEC@archway.com (Samantha)

I bought my NEC1935NXM at Amazon and they clearly stated on the AMAZON site that there was a $90 rebate. I sent in in the rebate in mid-January and I have not heard anything. The archway site does not return any results.

I'm never doing rebates again. I knew I should have bought a Viewsonic.

YIPEEEEEE! :)

Finally!!!!! GOT MY $90 REBATE CHECK TODAY!

Persistance is KEY!

For all of you who have not yet received your rebate.....KEEP ON THEM. Do NOT let them tell you that you have to wait 8 weeks after you RESUBMITTED your stuff! If they say that, IMMEDIATLY ask for a supervisor.

I resubmitted with USPS delivery confirmation, so that they could not BS me again that they did not receive it. They got my resubmission on the 17th, and 10 days later....I have a check!

Best of luck to all still waiting for this. Hope springs eternal.

I received my rebate.
After 6 weeks & not showing up on the web site I sent an e & received a response to wait.
After 9 weeks I sent another e & was told to fax or mail copies. About a week later I got a card saying denied. I called the number on the card & was told the check was in the mail a few days later.

Same story. Rebate not show up on-line after 8+ wks. Called, said rebate denied b/c bought at Staples. Spoke to a supervisor and was told to fax in copies of rebate. Got post card 2 wks later saying rebate invalid b/c receipt at Staples. Called rebate ctr to ask why, was told post-card was automatic response, check was mailed out. Got check within the week. Persistence pays off.

Anyone that got the rebate and has a reference number (from the postcard), could you PM or email me that number? I do not have copies of everything and think I could probably argue my case by providing other cases where people who submitted the rebate exactly as I did got the check.

I received the postcard notification today saying "The sales receipt you submitted with your request is not form the store identified
in the offer requirements".

It has a phone # to call and a referrence # for a representative. But it also has an address to resubmit for this offer.
To send this card and any validationg information. I only have my receipt though. I dont have the upc code obviously and
I dont have extra copies of the rebate form..

So should should I just call and that should do it ? Or am I going to have to send the card back with copies of receipt and
rebate form ?

Thanks for any help on this.

Yea I called them and said look I had to do a submission for the rebate and on top of that a resubmission. Then the guy says which store did you purchase it at? I said staples. He said I would have to do another submission. I replied another submission? He said yes.
Anyways this is BS and the next step will be BBB. I don't understand why I have to do another submission. Wasting my time, their time, and money for stamps. :D

they are honoring these rebates now. I was instructed to mail my copies to:

NEC Rebate Center
Attn: Special Handling
PO Box 72699
Rockford, MN 55572

Staples printed me another receipt for anyone that mailed the original like I did.

Just called them and they told me I had to resubmit. I said I didnt have a copy of the rebate form just the receipt and the guy said he would just forward my information to the dept. thats handling this and I should get my rebate in a month.

The guy pretty much knew all about this. Cuz he was like "you purchased this at staples"? "And that they dont usually do this but there making an exception since it wasnt made clear on the rebate form".

So Im pretty stoked right now. I thought I lost out on this deal.

i would like to say hello, i have hav efell upon the same thing

hrm....well staples is a participating resseller, but they have never participated in offers with nec/mitsubishi.
the form has been on pricegrabber and has been mishandled by a few hands....or i was told.
Nec has now revised the terms and conditions for the one offer, so if you did make the purchase there, give them a call and they will ahev you resubmit.

the rep advised me the outside time frame may take 4-6 weeks.

every company needs to make intrest, as long as i get the $90 im happy and skippy .... lol

Did you purchase the item for the rebate or the monitor?

I know from experiance not to buy something casue im going to get something out of it, i go for and item casue the thing works good, has a good reputation, friends recommended me...not casue of a rebate.

from these experiances will you buy anything else with a rebate?

I did 3 submissions. The first is the original. The other 2 were for resubmissions. Today I got a post card stating the exact same thing with a rebate denial...
