😉

Nearest is almost a 2hr drive(at highway/interstate speeds) so it's not near. And again, Des Moines is the biggest city(and area) in the state(not to mention the Capitol) - why no little protest here?

For the record, there was a protest in Des Moines today. They met on Court Ave. I didn't hear how many people participated. Shame you weren't there with your Brown Shirt act Cad, to help reinforce why they're protesting.
For the record Bowfinger -they didn't plan it very well- nor get the word out about it. I wonder how many people actually attended it?(sounds like it was as big as some of the feeble protests out at Camp Dodge)😛 From what I've learned about today's little meet-up - it was done by a bunch of amateurs with fliers.(I called a Friend who lives downtown). It also looks like it was highschool kids. But hey, GO! Iowa protesters😛

CsG
Blah, blah, blah. You were wrong. Get over it.

hehe, if you say so bow😛 I don't have a copy of the flier yet, but hopefully I will soon. I also have a lead on some pics of the little protest. They should prove to be entertaining.
The little world-wide protest failed miserably - get over it.

The march itself was maybe 1800 at delores park the rally got into 10's of thousands, trust me I know I was there and have been to actions in civic center plaza for 10 years. And this is still developing too I left becasue the cops had us surrounded and I was tired of running.
I owned the protestwarrior kid too he put down his megaphone and left after I told him what was up.
I can't wait to see the whining on their forums!
Geez, you neocons in here can take the heat more then those wusses.
WHen he put down the megaphone and stopped preaching hate I told them they were protest weenies and chickensh1t republicans that can't stand and fight.

Maybe that's why he was running from the cops?

ROFL. Never, ever, ever wrong about anything.

Here's a little fact which you will evade or ignore. You said there was no protest in Des Moines today. You were wrong. I offered no opinion whatsoever on the success or failure of a "world-wide protest". Your feeble attempt to turn your error into a comment about me is simply childish.

In spite of your robot-like regurgitation of Bush propaganda points, I assume you are, in fact, a human being -- well-programmed, but still human. Human beings make mistakes. You made a mistake. I know it smarts, but you'll live. Be a man and accept it.

 Yes, there was a rally - but it wasn't scheduled in steeple's little link(which is what I was commenting on). I had better things to do anyway - you know - constructive things. So yeah, bleat about me being "wrong" all you wish - it doesn't change a thing. If there would have been one scheduled - I might have gone for fun, but it looks like this little protest wasn't well planned or organized anyway. Woot for bowfinger!

the cops instigate the violence at EVERY event I have been to I have witnessed it firsthand.
You get uninformed suburbanites with nightsticks and a attitude. = Violence, these sick whackos crave it. It shows on here every day.

I never challenged those dudes they have just as much of a right to be there and I even told someone to chill who were telling them to go back to their LA suburb.
They packed it in becasue I answered there questions right back and called them on their sh1t... and they high tailed it like the cowards they are.

A FIGHT as in "civil discourse" sorry I am a bit flustered still and I may not be clear.

They sit there and try to find reasons and psyche themselves callign protesters names and throwing sh1t and tripping people and randomly harrasing.
Ready to strike at the first sign of someone fighting back. Thats instigating. Noone invited them to the protest. It was peaceful until they start throwing attitude.

OK it's over the anarchists just walked in front of our house the black block is over.
A great effort they stopped suburban freeway traffic for at least 2 hours.
Only 7-13 arrested and the cops never caught the bulk of them (but the cops were filming their tactics. :| I saw a big black dude in a paddy wagon following them for many blocks hanging out the back filming.

Thousands at the Seattle protest! Got a lot of cool pics.

Yeah it was far more organized on the west coast.
All in all a great show!
Did the anarchists get any black-block action there?

Nothing says "my cause is legitimate" better than illegally impeding traffic for a couple of hours.

Due to Fusetalk censors (which are easily avoidable), I cannot express my true feelings about said post.

I myself did nothing destructive or illegal I am merley commenting on the craziness SF cops drop charges on this stuff.
People get nuts and plan crzy stuff, it's doesen't look good for ANSWER who organized it, but the SFPD know
the anarchists do "direct action" for pretty much anything.
I saw no private property damaged and the whole thing was friendly noone disrespected anyone I saw except the cops to the local punks...
blocking the road is not the end of the world...still not legal no this is why I am home now.
I am not into getting arrested.
A lot of fun everyone was talking about stuff we do in here and having a good time.
UPDATE: 9 people arrested and they sat down in the road.....
everyone else left when the cops got tired of chasing them around probaly and told em all to go home.
I feel bad but that was dumb. They will sit in jail overnight in a corral I hear....
UPDATE: The people who sat in the road missed the after rally.....duh
Noone got hurt and they just annoyed people passing across streets.....
Not surprising if you don't expect some traffic blockage on the 2nd anniversery of the war in SF you are foolish. *shrugs*

rolleyes overload!!! rolleyes overload!!:Q
The war in Iraq is still continuing---nothing you can do about it for the next 4 years, quit your whining about losing the election like Kerry would change things for the better.🙂

"throwing attitude" I'm sure you all we just peacefully walking - tossing no "attitude" either.

"Yeah but it sure interupts their illegal corprate activities for a bit." -:laugh::laugh
I'm almost afraid to ask what these "illegal corprate activities" people driving the streets were engaged in.
