Name some comedy movies not talked about much...

I saw Cashback years ago, and don't remember it being a comedy. Wristcutters however, is pretty funny, in that strange/dark comedy kind of way.

I watched it just recently, and it is a comedy, it is just such a dry comedy that nothing in specific seems all that funny.

Also, am I the only one that can't get that song from Wristcutters out of my head?

When there is trap
set up for you
In every corner of your room
And so you learn
the only way to go
is through the roof, underground!

Is that the Bill Marr documentary?

I like the guy for the most part, but I can only handle him in small doses. I don't think I can tolerate him for more than 20 minutes, or so.

It seriously sucked. It's him arguing with religious people for over an hour. I wish I were joking.

That's over simplifying it. Yes he does argue with them, but the responses he gets from some of them are simply hilarious.

well, that's it, though. I don't wanna watch 2 hours of what essentially amounts to a Benson vs. Quale debate. :awe: Not that I think Bill Maher is particularly brilliant, but I imagine he picks the most inbred, uneducated dumbfucks to represent their belief.

rather...unsporting.

It's a little more than that. If you have Netflix streaming, I think it is available there. Check it out for the first 30 minutes, if you don't like it, call it a day. It's a least worth a quick look though.

oops, been listening to a mixtape called burn after rolling with a similar cover. self owned.

also, spun weirded me out. i know its a part of life, but extreme cruelty to women always leaves me with mixed feelings about a movie.

It's not unique at all, but Spun is generally an exaggeration of reality drama with highly comedic elements and an overall ironic tone. It's visual style, quality of performances by the entire cast, and playfully unique storytelling elements that set it apart. Overall something like this is comedic, and brilliantly so.

Besides no women were actually harmed, and honestly the way what you are talking about was done, was sad but funny. A rare combination.

Plus the score by Billy Corgan was just delicious!

Some good stuff so far for me to look forward to looking into in the near future. Thanks for everyone who participated and to the ones who actually read my OP 🙂
