I did read the OP...

I do believe some of these movies have been forgotten.

I never saw Caddyshack actually till last week.
Uncle buck was very good but i have'nt seen it in years
Have not seen grumpy old men in years on cable but i own it on dvd luckily

Overboard perhaps alot of people know about but it isnt as well known as alot of other comedies:thumbsup:

I hope this isn't serious.
Those are very well know and definitely not forgotten by any stretch of the imagination.
I'm sure they are on every "best movies if the 80's" list.
I've never been a fan of Grumpy Old Men, but it is still well known.

Caddyshack is one of the most quoted movies, evar. There was a skit on SNL about how much people love to quote it. There's a Caddyshack restaurant. There was a Tiger Woods commercial based on it.

Looks good on you though.
Right in the lumberyard
I've sentenced boys younger than you to the gas chamber.
You're lean, mean, and not too far in between.
Don't sell yourself short judge, you're a tremendous slouch.
That's what they said about Son of Sam
Cinderella kid, outa nowhere
Big hitter, the lama.
Pond would be good for you

Uncle Buck had a guy named John Candy in it. He may be dead, but not forgotten.
I thought fat Canadians was your thing...I must be mistaken.

I don't think Strange Brew is talked about too much. Back when it came out, few people seemed to see it, and today, hardly anyone knows what the movie is about - at least the people I know.

Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas, at the time of SCTV fame, from the Great White North.

This is one of the only movies in the thread I agree with (that matches the intent of the OP).
I know very few people that have seen it, and always introduce it to them.
Good quotable lines and weird stuff, everyone always enjoys it!

The Breaks, nobody but me has seen it. Well not outside of the people I've let borrow my DVD.

"Fleshy headed mutant" is one of those lines and SB is awesome funny IMO..
