Yeah this one will be my last, if it has the same problem, i'll be getting a refund. All 3 so far seem to have bleeding at the top right, it just isn't noticeable on two of them till they heat up. It's obviously a manufacturing defect, like something inside the panel is putting pressure on that spot on all of them.

I guess we can't expect much from something being put together by little kids in mexico.

Can't believe they sent you a refurb... I haven't received a single one.

I get my 3rd replacement tomorrow, we'll see how that goes.

Is is seriously worth trying for another one? When does the 21 day return expire, the date of the original order?

I repeat

get over it

watching DVDs on a 20 inch screen should only happen on rare occasions, unless that's your only way to play DVDS?

otherwise you wont notice it during normal use. I have one of the original 2005s from when they were first released and I don't even notcie the backlight during 90% of normal usage.

Did you even read the thread dude?

Original - backlighting issues and a cluster of dead pixels
New - (Refurb) worse backlighting issues, 1 dead pixel, and i just noticed the screen is loose in the casing, the monitor can move inside the black bezel (by about 1/4"). It actually wobbles when i move the panel.

Dell is saying my replacement was indeed new, not refurbished.

#1. It came in a damn box with REFURBISHED right on the side.
#2. There was no plastic cover on the monitor and the plastic bag was ripped....
#3. The cords were bundled with a rubberband in different plastic bag.

Its obvious this monitor was taken out and used at some point in time, there is even small scuff marks on the top of the LCD. There was no large screen protector that shows the resolution, no big dell diagram on how to install, etc....

I'm getting transferred to a supervisor now, she is insisting it is brand new.

Don't argue about all that. Just say there's a giant white spot on your monitor and that it is defective and you want a new one, if you say anything else they'll either argue with you or try to troubleshoot(lol). They should set you up with a replacement right away.
