It's defects, you can put very slight pressure on different spots of the frame/screen and the bleeding will go away. I think maybe you're confused...

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

I've been rerouted 8 times now (not kidding) around the world...

We started our journey in what seemed to be Texas, followed by 4 different helpful gentlemen whom i believe to be from India, now i seem to be speaking with some people in Scotland.. Including a lovely chap who called me "josh-waaa".

Hmmm, where shall we go next??? Any guesses? 🙂 🙂

HAHAHAHAHA, they keep asking what model laptop it is.... ITS NOT A LAPTOP PEOPLE... As soon as they hear its not a laptop, im told its the wrong department and they transfer me again...

Any idea what number i need to call? This is retarded 😀

um, just get over it

watching DVDs on a 20 inch screen should only happen on rare occasions, unless that's your only way to play DVDS?

otherwise you wont notice it during normal use. I have one of the original 2005s from when they were first released and I don't even notcie the backlight during 90% of normal usage.

Haha yeah, I called dell up to get a replacement for my 2005fpw. It seems as though my journey stayed in India and was routed about 4 different times and put on hold for at least 30 min.

Guess you didnt see my update where a crop of dead pixels appeared just off center...

Transfer 12, ok now im getting mad....

The sad thing is, ive actually been writing down every damn phone number and extension they give me... I have a page full of em...

Wow that is crazy. (dead pixel issue)

I have an old NEC LCD from 1997 ($2500) that is pixel perfect and works perfectly to this day - well at least up to the last time I saw it which was inauguration day. 🙂

Dead pixels just appearing is NOT normal at all. Definitely get that replaced.

Ok, replacement will be here in 2 business days.... My lord, i JUST got off the phone with them... A total of 12 transfers and nearly 1.5 hours wasted.

Is a dell dispatch # the same as a tracking #?

Log into "My account" and your tracking number should show up under "Order status". If it's not there then you can just go into the "Dell chat" and ask one of the natives for the tracking number... Good luck.

They shipped my replacement Fedex standard overnight, it'll be here tomorrow. Going to cross my fingers and hope the third one will be it.

great, just got an email... 2005's are backordered till 6/7

Does my 21 day start over when i recieve my new monitor?

What! I just got a replacement today(called about backlight issue on tuesday) and this replacement monitor has 3 dead pixels. So I was going to call tomorrow and ask them for another one.

6/7 is such a long way away 🙁

Nevermind, im a freaking moron...

The email i got wasnt about the 2005 being backordered, it was about the media reader being delayed from when i ordered it w/ the first 2005.

My bad 😀

Phew! Yeah the CD-R's I ordered are on back order.

Well, just received my third 2005FPW(A01 May)... and it's a winner!

No dead pixels or backlight bleeding and all the inputs work.

Dell estimated shipping dates are often pretty wacky. My last couple orders were estimated to ship in 1.5 weeks after placing it, and I had a tracking number the next day.

Input issues? I haven't heard of that before...I don't have dvi so I can't even test them.

The second monitor had broken SVideo and Composite inputs. Guess Paco forgot a cable or something in there. 😛

Well... My 3rd monitor develops major backlight bleeding towards the top right when it heats up from being on for a while. When i first tested it, it had just been turned on heh.

Needless to say... 4th monitor on the way lol.

This is getting old really fast.

I'll post pics of my 2005fpw platoon when i get the 4th one, in case someone thinks i'm lying. 😛
