honestly, i feel like mythos si more polished than HGL based on my *beta play of both games*.

EDIT: Nevermind.. just go to www.forthegamers.org, click on Chat on the left hand side, then do "/join #Mythos" Message any of the guys in the title and they will get you a key. Sulfuric sent me one 2 seconds after I messaged him.

Agreed. It actually feels more polished in beta than Hellgate did 2 months after launch.

Ahh the guy is a professional troll.

And KT, as far as your other comment on the game feeling more polished than HGL - I couldn't agree more. I had high hopes for Hellgate but it seems like their other throw away title might end up being more fun.
 
My question is: Is the final game going to have more classes and/or races in it? It feels like there are huge gaps... like, for the "mage" class - pyromancer. Why do mobs have things like lightning resistance if the only spell class is fire?

Yes, the game is still in pretty early beta. If you look at the world map, there are only 2 zones implemented out of like 20 possible spots. I believe the devs said they want at least 4 zones for release and will continue to add new ones after that. In terms of classes/races, they will be adding special race stats/abilities (something to distinguish them at least, no details yet) and more of both. Before they add new classes though, they need to add more content since there's only quests up to level 20. After that you just play random maps. Devs are very active in the forums and have said many times they'll be adding classes. It should be noted that each class has 3 semi-viable skill trees which lead to many good builds for each class, so variety isn't so bad at this point.

There are very few people that can hand the invites out. You need to request one in the methods listed above. Its not hard.

No I did... I just don't have mirc right now and if I could get one from this community it would save me the trouble...

I mean hell if I somehow get some invites I would definitely be in this thread offering them to fellow AT'ers.
 
They are no longer giving out invites via IRC. The cutoff was yesterday evening. A couple of the guys in the clan I'm in didn't get invites after 4pm.

I am loving this game though. Seriously loving it. Haven't enjoyed a game this much since Diablo II 😀

Anybody have a lvl 12-17 char and want to do some epic maps / lvl 14-18 quests add me to your friends list and drop me a message. My name is Canai_shoot

I don't know if I want to start this with the whole no talent redo's like you can do in WoW... I think my Bloodletter is only level 4 😛. Just remembering playing Diablo II, getting to the end and not being able to solo Diablo because of my bad talent build on my Necromancer made me quite sullen. I'd give out my invites, but I give them to RL friends 🙁.

You get 3 talent respecs (tentative amount, could increase since we are beta testing afterall) for normal difficulty. No talent respecs if you choose elite difficulty, but if you're doing elite you should know what you're doing.
 
I'm only level 4 or so right now, but I'm enjoying myself. It's definitely nothing more than a smidge taken from WoW and piled into the D2 formula. I think it's pretty solid to be honest. I still need to figure out a few things (can I spin the camera?) but I'm enjoying what is essentially a revamped/updated D2.
 
Anyone know if invites are completely done... Have been sitting in the irc channel for most of the day and there has been quite a few claims that there aren't anymore.
