Those asking for invite should really just try what Chronoshock posted. I did and I had an invite by the end of the day. Pretty decent game by the way. Still a bit buggy as to be expected, but fun. Really Enjoying my chaingun-esque gageteer.

I'd love an invite as well. I'm a recent convert to RPGs (so far Bards Tale and Fable TLC have been my 2 that I've dabbled in). The email addy in my profile works for me 🙂

I think microtransactions are a great idea for games like these. I'd prefer something a little more granular then the way that Dungeon Runners does it. For example, have the game be free or really cheap per month and then have extras that cost money. Say you pick up a kick-ass sword and you want to use it, then you have to pay $.50 or $1. Say you want to be able to use the bank to store money or items, charge $1 or $2 for access to the bank. At some point the user has to decide if being a paying member is more economical or if paying as you go is the way to do it.

I would play WoW if they had another type of membership besides $15/mo. I just wouldn't have enough time to play the game to make the $15 worth it but if they had a "lite" version for less money I would do it.

I'd probably still be playing WoW if I could purchase playtime by the hour. Buying a 40 hour block would cover several months worth of playtime for me.

Any chance I can get a invite? the irc.forthegamers.org doesnt work for me. I really need something to do at work. thanks!

Interesting - I want to say it's Diablo meets Guildwars meets WoW. This is basically Diablo on a 3D engine, with the social system of Guildwars, with the animation style of WoW.

Can't wait to get my PC out of storage so I can play it on the kickass settings.

If you do choose to ask for an invite this way, you don't have to say Hi...you don't have to say Why, all I really need is the e-mail address -- as it's the only pertinent information. 🙂 Of course, politeness is always appreciated ;-)

Alternate way to join in the IRC:
Go to this link, provided by ForTheGamers.Org themselves.
Type /join #Mythos (Not even required, just...preferred)
Type "/msg Sulfuric" or "/msg G-15" followed by the e-mail address you need the invite sent to. 🙂

I just did this, and got an instant invite. I suggest doing it for anyone looking for an invite...

according to Gamespy, Mythos is suppose to be "a simple test of the underlying technology" of Hellgate: London, but now it looks like it's going to be a more fun and successful product.
