My wife was backing out of the drive way this morning in her Ford Escort.

You know how the front of a car goes right when you back up to the left? Well she was only looking behind her and took a hard reverse left out of the drive way.

Inside, I hear a CRUNCH that sounds like an oak tree limb just fell onto the street.

I then hear the little Ford's horn beeping, so I run outside.

There in the middle of the drive way is the driver's side bumper guard from an '82 Rabbit and navy blue plastic shards from a '93 Ford Escort.

The Escort took the most damage since it has one of those "all plastic" covered bumpers. The bumper has just been stripped along the entire passenger side.

What a pain! I'm going to have to fix these now! I'm so PISSED at her for not paying attention! :| :| :|

Think I'll go shave my head now. :(

PS: I do see the humor in this.

I immediately called the friend that I go out to the junk yard with on his cell phone and he started laughing so hard he accidently hung up on me. :(

LOL, sorry to hear that jonny, but dont be mad at her. It was only a mistake, and its not worth fighting for, they are just cars.

jonnyGURU, did you tell her that she was ok?

The car can be fix...your wife can't.

She is more important. ;)

Neo: She KNEW she was ok. The look on her face was more of one of "please don't rip me out of this car and stuff me in the bushes".

SuperSix: Ace never has any bunny parts. :( If I could find a way to retrofit an Audi 4000 bumper to a Rabbit.... I would. :p

Missus: I can picture it now.

Driving in the Navy Blue four door......"Ms. Lois"! As she drives off with her pink helmet on and the radio blaring.....

....and no. The neighbors didn't come out. GOD that would be embarassing. I'd just point at my wife and say, "she did it".

My car has been taken out twice in our driveway, once by my dad after pulling too many 18 hour work days, and once by my sister. Oddly enough they seem to have engineered the best way to cause lots of damage w/o taking any major damage (they bascially wipe the side of my car with a structural strong point)

too easy.. that's why.

BUT... if you really want one.. ;)

"Take the wheel, Harry!" said the nervous lady driver. "There's a tree coming straight for us!"

and

A man whose wife had just passed her driving test went home one evening and found that the lady had driven slap into the living room. "How did you manage to do that?" he fumed. "Quite simple, Dear. I came in through the kitchen and turned left!"

Hehehe, that sucks, but it's just one of life's little boo boo's. I'm sure she feels horrible about what happened. Do something crazy, take her out for a romantic evening to celebrate :p

Get over it. Mistakes happen. Stand up like a man, fix the cars, and love your wife. Money is not as important as your relationship. You cannot tell me you have not fvcked up like this at some pt. in your life, I will not believe you.

DOH!!!

And I was ticked off that my girlfriend missed her bus and I had to drive 100MPH on a road w/ a 35MPH speed limit to catch up to the bus.

Dont feel bad, when I was younger my Father had his Auto Body shop set up in the garage at our home. Well he had just completed a customers car, complete paint job, and forgot it was parked in the driveway. We hopped in the Blazer and backed damn near over it. Live and learn I guess.

dude, just think....you got good ammunition for the rest of your life... I mean, next time you do something DUMB (and its just a matter of time) you can always deflect her snears with gentle reminders...but be sure to do this sparingly lest she build up an immunity to her chagrin.
