Very true. Remember the Palin yahoo email hacking incident? The feds traced the IP to the culprits apartment even after he used an anonymous proxy.

However, this thug could have been sitting at a starbucks, a public library, or even war driving. So that may not get you anywhere.
 
17 year olds are not babies. They may be so legally, but they don't magically become "adult" at 18... Let her learn her lesson. 17 years of learning didn't work and being forcefed those same rules for less than a year more will do nothing. Let her learn through real life.

I said a few posts back, I overreacted, and I also apologized to the OP. However, he agrees with me she sounds like a spoiled brat who now has fallen into the wrong crowd. Lying and leaving the house with a bunch of pukes doesn't sound like a lot of common sense exhibited by either parent. The OP also agreed with my prognosis that his sister sounds a bit spoiled.


Also, if you noticed, I underlined "It sounds to me," as in, "this is my early opinion" or "I don't know the full situation, but this is how it sounds," or "I think this, but I don't want to make a huge damning judgement on you, but I still feel this way," etc.

I hope that clarifies things.

Because she is a teenage girl. She doesn't know what's good for her. She wants to hang out with people much older than her and do the shit they do instead of finishing up school and securing her future. She doesn't understand that we have her best interests in mind.

She came back today, my mom found her at school. She spent the entire day with the guy and slept at a coworkers house.

17? Cops dont care. That is basically an adult. Only a few months away from being able to legally make your own decisions.

If my sister did this I'd go out and destroy her face at how stupid she is acting....in the US you are owned by your parents until 18, unless contracted out of it..or they die and legal guardians are not given to you. (I had a friend who was 16 in high school who was on his own, because both parents died and had no relatives).

She may hate it, but you all need to work those issues out amongst yourselves, we can't solve everything on AT...we aren't Gary Spivey.
