That's what I was thinking. I'd wager it will happen... quietly under the table. The public will be hinted that she's not in jail because there's nothing to pardon.

There is a good chance that the State Department is hiding the fact of this E-Mail investigation because it will pmint to illegal activities they were involved in. All the State Department has to do is classify everything found and it will never be released to the general public. What is released will simply be redacted if someone requests a freedom of information act request.

I said I would feel better if it were a requirement. I also feel that it Should be a requirement. A pardon should be for a Specific reason and the person getting the pardon should have to acknowledge the specifics.

You are welcome to start a campaign to amend the constitution to require that. As written by the founders the President's power to pardon is very broad and intended to be close to the power a monarch had to pardon.
