gun shows are cool as hell. for 6 bux you get access to all kinds of shit. i don't know why these people had security systems on their gun racks...only a moron would steal from someone selling fully-auto assault rifles O_O

i love our country. a good, of age, law abiding, non-crazy, legal citizen can walk into a gun show and purchase a defense weapon with pretty much no hassle. this is a reason why we are free.

Where do I find the requirements for gun ownership in my state? (Florida)

I'm 22 years old and don't really know the requirements/laws...

i was too, but i don't know much about guns. i hunted a good bit when i was little and never used a hand gun except for my dads 9mm and grandpa's .45. the people there were pretty knowledgeable. they put on a good bit of pressure to buy certain guns but i eventually found a booth with some people who weren't too pushy. they explained a lot about the product and recommended some over others. i then walked around and asked other people about the gun i was interested in and got good results, so i went ahead with it. i haven't fired it but i don't think anything is wrong with it. it is used so it may need a good cleaning but i think it was good decision.

Nice looking shotgun. How much did it set you back? I'd like to pick one up for skeet shooting.

I'm 22 years old and don't really know the requirements/laws...

perhaps you should educate yourself before acquiring a firearm...

Isn't that what he was trying to do by asking that question?

I really don't feel comfortable with someone trying to purchase a firearm and not even knowing what the requirements are. To carry it even further, I doubt this same person doesn't even know how to be responsible with a firearm...

Just MHO...

Great! Now you can protect yourself against....what exactly?

i never said it was mainly for protection. i bought it for target practice because it's fun to me. however, i now the have added bonus of home protection should it ever be invaded and after i get my concealed carry i can protect myself on the go. i highly doubt ill ever need to protect my home since i live in a gated community in a nicer part of town, but you never know, anything can happen. i dont really plan on using my concealed carry once i get it because ill be on campus so much, but there may be a time when ill bring it with me to other activities and it may become life saving. again, most likely will never happen...but some famous person who i can remember said: "hope for the best, plan for the worst"...i dont hope i ever have to point the muzzle at another human...but if i have to i will.

i hate to sound so damned redneck, conservative, republican, or whatever..since i'm don't really fall into those categories...but people who are pro gun controller, i feel, are very anti-American and pro communism. our right to bear arms is extremely important. maybe not so much as freedom of speech and religion, but it is high up on the scale. i believe it is one of the reasons our country has stayed free and as long as it stays that way we will be. if we ever needed to revolt against our government or needed to protect ourselves in the event of homeland invasion we would be able to. the reason i think gun control people are commies is because thats what every single communist country has done before it turned communist. the officials found ways to take guns away from the public. once the government is the only one with guns, power reigns and the people become almost helpless. it is sad that it comes to this sometimes and that we cant trust officials, but its true. hopefully Americans will continue to realize this BS beforehand and quickly impeach those officials.

however, i think that gun safety is of the utmost importance. too many stupid accidents are caused by people not understanding the danger of guns and not acting properly around them. i was raised around guns and always taught proper gun control by my dad (retired military) and gun classes. the only other atrocities that can be accounted for by guns are criminal acts and its kind of hard to pass laws against people who dont abide laws in the first place...

anywho...thats my gun control rant. i love you America 😀!

i dunno wth a sig sauer is but it sounds nice. i really never wanted a 9mm because my dad had one that i had used for years. its nice and shoots straight, but i just thought it was a little underpowered. however, when browsing at the show this one really took me. and i figured that the chances of me ever actually having to use it to stop someone are slim enough for it not to matter. on top of that, i think a 9mm could stun just about anyone enough for me to run away or for them to be immobile.
