They (two brothers) bought a pure-bred pit bull looking for a "mean guard dog". They have been talking several times about how their dog is going to be so tough, wont let strangers on their lawn, etc. It's still a puppy, about 6 months old. Once when it was maybe 12 weeks old, it got off of their lawn and came over to me while I was mowing the lawn. It came up, sniffed my hand, etc. I petted it, and held onto it until my neighbors showed up to collect her (about 3 minutes). Dogs tend to like me. This dog has apparently bonded to me like I am a family member. She has run away from them many times just to "say hello" to me. Today while I was mowing the lawn, she ran away from her owners not once, not twice, but three times, just to come over and say hi. Even on the third time it came over, this dog was demonstratively happier to see than any other dog I can think of. These neighbors live across the street and over a house from where I live, so it isnt like their dog is walking 15' to greet me. They are SO not happy about this, and about the fact they when they went hysterical telling their dog (I dont even know it's name, I just call it "pup" when it comes over) to sit and it wouldnt when it was running over to me, I got her to sit just by softly saying "sit" and pointing at the ground*. They couldnt get their dog to move under it's own power till I said "go" and pointed towards them. Basically, their dog is my dog. Really, they should have gotten an Akita if they wanted a guard dog that wouldnt tolerate strangers.

*technically, that would have been a fourth visit today, but I got the dog to sit in the street on command (though I didnt tell it to sit until I looked up and down the street for cars), and so I dont count it.

Cliff's Notes:
-My neighbors bought a pit bull looking for a guard dog that wouldnt like anyone but them.
-I could walk over to their yard, beat them down and screw their mom against her will, and their dog wouldnt do anything to me other than try to get my attention so that I would pet it.
-They are pissed.

Pics of the dog, or the neighbors?

The dog is, well, a dog, and the neighbors are both guys, so I am confused as to why you want pics.

My dog is the same way. She'll bark like a freak at anyone outside, but all she wants to do is play. She'd let an axe-murderer in the house with nary a care.

GOOD!

I HATE people that think they need MEAN dogs.

And it's assholes like them that give certain breeds a bad name.

Fvck'um, I hope the dog runs away for good!

(Got a big backyard for it to hide in! ;) )

Rape fetish, huh?

Anyway, I'd need about 10 Viagra, four 22 oz bottles of Arrogant Bastard Ale, and a SH!TLOAD of LSD before I'd be capable of doing that to their mom, even under the best of conditions. And by "the best of conditions', I.mean the acid making me hallucinate that she is Heidi Klum. Imagine an Arab Roseanne Barr... hell, I refuse to even continue that line of thinking.

In all honesty, an Akita would have been a better choice for them. An Akita isnt necessarily a mean dog, but it sees the people in it's house as in it's pack, and the people it doesnt know arent, and dogs or people that arent in it's pack are listed in the "prey" category ;), and quite justifiably at that . My uncle had an Akita, and she was a very sweet dog if my uncle formally introduced you to her. If not and you came onto "her" property, you might as well bend over real far and kiss your a$$ good-bye.

Honestly, I could steal their dog away with no problems, as far as them physically reclaiming it. When I told their dog to sit in the street, the older brother came over to pick her up. He got about three feet away, and she growled at him to get him to back down. She didnt even look away from me. He got the message.

Even "loud" dogs rarely bark at me. It is sort of weird, but I get treated somewhat like the alpha male by almost all dogs. No loud barking, no aggression, but they are quite happy to see me (which is the part that breaks the alpha male mold).

Hmm... maybe you were a dog in a past life. Either that or they want to make sweet love to you? doggy style! ;)

But seriously, that's great, nothing like the neighbors pissing themselves off...

Well, since they dont hump my leg or make an invitation for me to hump them (depending on gender), I'm guessing not.
