too evil.. I love trees

That would take 2-3 years to kill it.

Need like 20-30 copper nails spread out to do the real damage.

But an edger... can do serious damage with that. Could just start slicing the roots right at the base.

To whoever asked how long this has been happening: I suspect it's been going on for about two weeks.

But if you do the nails right then it will be hard for him to notice

True, but him not noticing isn't very rewarding  .

FTW.

p.s. all the solutions that kill his flowers are also going to kill part of your lawn when he turns the hose on. I doubt he stretches the hose to his flowers, walks back to the hose connection, turns the water on, and walks back to his flowers... Assuming he's not a moron, he's going to figure out that you've done something. Then, if he feels you did it maliciously (which you did), he's probably going to attempt to get revenge on YOU! Plus, killing several hundred dollars worth of rose bushes, etc., probably far exceeds the cost of your water.

repeated. I sincerely hope the majority of replies are intended as jokes and not things that people would really do.

Do something from the inside that you can hook your water supply to that faucet up to a tank of roudup. Then let him go water his yard and kill everything. That'd be hilrious.

But I'd just confront him (if you like him) or jsut call the cops.

Why not confront him and see if there is a reason? Maybe he doesn't think it is an objectionable act. It would be better to know what his attitude is before you go attacking him.
If it gets ugly , kerosene is a really good killer of everything.
I do like the idea of the orange lawn as a start.
If that doesn't work , there are a number of available chemicals that react with water harmlessly.
I can't recall what it was at this time , but I had an incedent where I put water on something at work and
it threw sparks , jumped all over the place and made lots of smoke with very little water applied.
In either case , kerosene will kill everything for a couple of years with just a small amount.
I have had problems with people in somewht similar fashion and would recommend you be prepared
for retaliation and to be pissed off for a long time if you start something like this though.
I still suggest you ask him about it and try to find an amicable solution.
From experience , you will regret getting your property torn up and will be distracted by being pissed far longer than you want to be.
I went looking for someone who threw trees on my fence after a confrontation not long ago.
I was distracted both by my anger and the effort of looking for his truck. A kid came around the corner of a garage in front of me.
I had two choices. Hit him or move left. I moved left...into the telephone pole that was beside me in the alley.
Now , do I get really pissed because , technically, it was the guys fault , or remove the trees , chill and let life take it's course.
It is a small world. I will see him again . or , being the jackoff he is , someone else will get him.
I removed the trees and fixed the fence. I had been waiting to find him to make him do it.
I posted about it on 101deals and PICS can be taken and witnesses are available , so don't doubt me.

BTW , his plate is either
989-PK6 MO or
969-PK6 MO
anyone know how I can get the info for him?????????

Edit: I think the chemical in question was magnesium. I didn't do my homework to verify that it was , I just recall that being the case, but whatever it was , the fire department had fun with it at my job site.

That episode was about the conservation of water.
Hill had to get rid of his toilet and get a minimal usage one that sucked and required 6-7 flushes for #2 removal..
The Mayor who proposed the restrictions was invested in the low flow toilets.
The neighbor was bribing the meter man to adjust his usage numbers so he could water his lawn at night and take baths while everyone else had dead grass and short showers.

End result , Hill joined the committe and filibustered until all the members had to use the toilet and see how bad they were, then disclosed that the Mayor was profiting from it.
No more low flush toilets.

Hook some electric wires to the knob (on the inside) so when he goes to turn the water one, he'll get a nice ZAAAAP?

Devise a way to hook up a bottle of bleach or something into that water line he uses.
Then let him water away.

If it kills him , it's manslaughter. Not a good idea.

Oh, my bad. Didn't realize this was a "revenge thread."

99% chance that anything that kills plants will end up on your lawn as well.

Therefore, I highly support the "rub poison ivy all over the hose" option. If he has to do any work at all in dragging the hose across the yard, and starts to sweat at all in the Florida heat, he'll wipe the sweat off his forehead with his hand. During the coming days, look for the rash on his face, his arms, etc., and delight in the fact that you caused it and he has no clue why. AND, if he *DOES* figure out that it came from your hose, you can explain, "oh, that must have gotten on there the other day when I was removing some poison ivy that was growing wild in my flower bed... Good thing I know what the stuff looks like, I was wearing gloves when I pulled it out, but must have used the hose without taking the gloves off."

Alternately, you can unscrew the screw holding the tap handle on. Put the handle inside while you're away - there's no way to turn the splined shaft without tools (or another handle).

Dye won't work. You think the guy will continue watering his own lawn and flowers with red water? It's gotta be invisible.

that doesnt make any sense. you just contradicted yourself back to back. the dye will obviously work if youre saying "you think the guy will continue watering his own lawn and flowers with red water?" unless maybe youre thinking that all weed killers have dye in that and thats what you meant...
