the milk comany only has milk in 1/2 gallon glass bottles so the moron saw bottles for the amount instead of gallons.

my wife called the dairy and the manager had the note that we left and he said that its pretty clear that we wanted 4 gallons (8 bottles)....

so i guess for now on we have to make sure we put down how many bottles we want because the milkman can fricken multiply by 2.

link to the dairy.

you realize, if you put down the number of bottles, he will assume you mean gallons, and give you twice what you want, don't you? ... !

edit: i just checked your link - i live near you (longmont). had you tried royal crest dairy? we used them for a while and were pleased ... stopped because of the cost - store bought is so much cheaper!

This may be a dumb question but why would you buy chocolate milk direct from a dairy? It's not like the milk comes out chocolate from the cow. Why not buy regular milk and add chocolate yourself? Is it the same price or something?

So it's $70 for 13 gallons?

I agree, sometimes the milkman is an idiot. however, our buggywhip delivery guy is worse than that

a week. milk is delivered weekly.

Ah, so it's $70 for 22 gallons. That's not too bad. There are some local grocery stores that charge $2.50-$3 for a gallon. Of course, there are also some that charge a lot less, but for the convenience of better milk delivered to the door, it would totally be worth it for me.

Milkmen in Colorado rock. The milk tastes so much better than that grocery-store bought garbage.

Ya, seriously, give the guy a break.

The guy obviously doesnt deliver just to you, your not the one and only person he has to go to. What I dont get is why your posting it on here, when you can understand the mix up.

You do realize that there's a reason for their screw-up - it was intentional. For every one customer who orders 3 gallons of milk and get's 3 half gallon bottles and whines, there are 10 customers who order 3 gallons of milk and call up the dairy complaining that the dairy should have known what they meant and to come pick up the extra 3 bottles that they left and they're not going to pay for it and...

Two different mistakes: sadly (very sadly), the mistake made in your case is the one that occurs less often.
