It runs it from your cwd. with out it it just checks your $PATH's which mostly consist of your bin's and sbin's. If you want to add another directory you should be able to do this
#$PATH = $PATH + /new/dir/here

Ok, you want the mouse to work?

First off, you did enable USB support in the kernel, right?

Right?

Anyway, go into /dev and type MAKEDEV usb and MAKEDEV input

Your mouse should be on /dev/input/mice. Cat it to the display and move your mouse around. If everything is cool, you'll get a bunch of gibberish.

hahahaha. i love it. our 'l33t h4x0r' did not know how to run X or about command paths.

yo kid.. following the step-by-step online does not a hacker make.

No one really cares if you're kernel or whatever is compiling. Just tell us when you're finished and give us a brief paragraph.

Oh that's right, you know nothing about linux, carry on.

Reasons why people don't like linux:

#1) Condescending fanboys.

If you were installnig mandrake, you'd be done with this a long time ago.

You see why all my machines run OSes that com from Apple or Microsoft pre-compiled 😉
