lol, yeah aint that some sh*t? She basically said no, lets work it out, and convinced him that things would change. They changed for about 3 days. Back to the same ol. He is really convinced that things will be different eventually, but everyone else knows it isnt so. Its his first gf, so he really doesnt know any better, but still....

Your friend has low self esteem and like you said he is prolly choosing the lesser of two evils. If he doesn't change he will always end up with girls like that.

Yep, she's most definitely a control freak. But you'll be surprised to learn that those relationships even last longer than the 50/50 relationships. Chances are, she's older than he. It's normally older (relative to the guy's age) ladies that do these.

But really, you can't decide for your friend. He'll remain as he is until he experiences difficulty himself and decides to give up the relationship, or if he gets dumped. Chances are, she wouldn't ever dump him. Control freaks love men that they can control. Hey, that's his life and hers, not mine. Let them live it the way they want to. He's a grown up, not a baby. He should decide for himself, even if his decision is foolish.
 
Tell your friend to spend some time with his girlfriend by renting a movie this weekend. You must tell him though to rent "Saving Silverman". Nuff said!

Hmmm.. I think once you can't do what you want to do (hobby wise such as working out, playing games, sports).. then the relationship is not healthy.
 
shes a complete control freak. Stuff going out with a girl that was THAT controllering.
