I think the wife's expectations are unreasonable, but so are yours. People change as they get older and settle down - sorry you have to pay for your own beer now.

But if she doesn't let him have his space, he'll wake up one day feeling like a broken man, and come hell or high water, he'll "fix" it. What said "fixing" does to their marriage remains to be seen...

lol that's a terrible idea.

Maybe my friends are just fucking retarded but if the seat is down for any reason, they will piss on it. And they won't clean it up. And they won't admit it was them. I FUCKING KNOW IT WAS YOU, I PUT THE SEAT UP, YOU ARE THE ONE WHO PISSES ON IT

It does mean a lot but think about this. A child will carry on and be around long after you are gone. If you want to have any impact on your child's life you have to be there for them and not out drinking with people who have no clue what life is about. There comes a time when going through the daily grind just to "go out with buddies" is a progressively less gratifying activity. Sacrifice is one of the most outstanding attributes of growing up.

I don't really care what happens once I'm worm food.

Obviously if you have a kid that takes priority, but this idea that having a wife and kids is the be all and end all of existence is nonsense. I'm not actually against the idea of getting married, but it's pretty clear that a lot of people end up miserable after getting hitched.

Look for a locked thread in P&N with about 6 banned people in it. I have no idea if any are permanent.

Are you in a relationship now?
Are you? Oh, that's right, you have a gf who wants to take the next step in your relationship and you are afraid to do that because you'll lose your manhood.

Yes, I am. He's sitting right here doing work on his laptop as I tap on mine.

Holy shit...I read through that thread and the shit they posted was crazy...definitely crossed a line but scary how easy it was for that guy to dig all that info up.

Thanks for the laugh. Go ahead and mention it. :D

I'll also link this thread to your "friend". He'll love to hear how you say his wife turned him into a "house cat", and other assorted details you'd never say to his face.

Also, go read the rules in L&R, because by referencing a post there in OT you've broken the rules.

He used to hang out with us. However, after getting married and having his child, his wife has managed to turn him into a house cat. I even saw him crying in a video over some bullshit. I've also seen his and hers bathrobe at their place. His wife even brags to my girlfriend about how she has him "trained". Trained. The bitch used that word like 20 times during that conversation. Is there any hope? He used to pick up the tab when we went drinking.

My friend? You don't even know who he is. And you never will. Besides, I've already mentioned that I'm worried about him. these things happen in stages so I went easy the first round.

Anyway, why mention rules if you don't care?

No kidding. I only said that to point out how ridiculous your threat to me was.

But you said a lot of shitty things about him, and it would suck for you if he did read this thread now wouldn't it?

I mentioned the rules because you broke them.

Time for him to start training her. It works both way. Clean house, clean kids, dinner on the table and a cocktail when he gets home or she gets no penis or help around the house and just goes out with you every night.

It works both ways.

but but but that's not politically correct so he can't do that

That wasn't a threat. You're the one who over-analyzed my statement about not wanting to live with my gf. I figure you wouldn't mind explaining certain things to YOUR SO. Oh, but maybe you like some privacy yourself, right? Right?

Don't assume you know everything.

I agree with the other guy. NOT being married is not a "failure." Simple evidence of this is the large number of people who are unhappy enough to call it quits, another percentage of married couples simply stick with it for no other reason than they're lazy, then there's the rest of them who are happy. But everyone always says to me, "WHen are you getting married? Look everyone else is married, why aren't you?" Yeah, wait about 5 years and half of those people will be right back where they started. :D

I've got a buddy who is slowly degrading into pussy-whippedness. He's been in a relationship with this girl for over a year, a girl who he's never had much good to say about, and it's pretty clear that he's just settling for what he can get because he says he's getting older and needs to get on the ball. But hey, now she wants to move in with him so I guess that makes him a man because he's going to cave in to her wishes, right?

So why don't you want to live with your girlfriend?

Of course I like privacy, and that is why there is a rule in L&R not to post what is contained there in other forums. L&R is only visible if you log in for privacy reasons.

Ok I read the thread, and it needs more cowbell. Aside from the fact that Mosh is still having dreams about me! :p
Yeh, it is much ado about nothing. He was grasping for straws since I'm hitting him too close to home.

Get out of my head SP33Demon :p
