Damn..that sucks. Prepare for your life to change upside down. Fees, court, treatment, etc.

I believe that he was the person giving someone else a DWI.

I knew that..just checking 😛

can someone explain what the difference between DUI and DWI is?

also, can't you still be pwned by the police even if your BAC is below the legal limit?

You can be pwned if under the limit yes, but most likley it can be either beaten with a good lawyer or pleaded out easier to a lesser charge.

DUI - Driving under the influence - Drugs
DWI - Driving While Intoxicated. But couldn't DUI also mean alcohol?

Yep- it's the same thing..different states call it different things. DWI, DUI, OWI, OUI, etc.

Wow, when I first saw your thread I forgot you were a cop for a second. It was a WTF moment. 😱

Considering that the legal limit is fairly low, if your BAC is below 0.08 and you're acting drunk enough to get pulled over, there is something wrong with you.

I want to know what 0.08 feels like.

I think they should make every 21 year old get drunk at the courthouse to experience 0.08.

It is amazing what food/time of day/activities can do to your "buzz."

I have have a bottle of wine over a 4 hour dinner and not felt a thing. Then other times I have a single gin and tonic on an empty stomach and feel like I have been drinking all day. Is my BAC different at these times? I have to believe they are.

I plan on having a beer or two with dinner tomorrow night, then driving home.
