The fact that this girl has had 20 sex partners (20 times more than the number you have had) is a sexual mismatch and asking for trouble in the future. The girl has been around the block. Women with STDs are more likely to give birth to children with birth defects, I'm not sure if you've thought about that or not. Don't go around beating people for giving your fiance STD's. You are the one that will end up in jail. I think you need to back away from this relationship, because you can probably do better.

Many viral STDs are latent in nature, undectable when they are not physically manifesting (which they do from time to time). This girl could have more STDs.

Getting tested after a first partner has be alarmed you now have a financee. Was it just a fling/guickee? If so you probably owe it to yourself to explore more.

HPV had many types (80 something in my studies, but there are probably more now). Many have no effect on a guy, and only a few are symptomatic....

HSV (Herpes) is very common in Type I from (cold sore type). It's also very common in Type II but many don't ever get it checked out or disclose it.

STD's go with the territory in my opinion. I can't say I'd take on a HIV+ g/f knowing it would kill me, but I am not one to blame a chick for being pregnant once, or catching something.

I have a friend with HPV, she deals with it fine and has about as normal life a single 30 something lady can have.

All this said...when someone has been 'tested', WTF is that? It's usually extended by morons saying "I have been tested too" (but haven't).

To be 'tested' is usually the aids/hiv test. Probably the one thing most here and in society have so little chance of getting unless you fall into IV drug circles and/or skin trade/alternative lifestyles. The guy / girl just going out and hooking up weekly is probably going to 'catch' something one day, but mostly the cured up with a shot type of things.

The main test everyone should get is a 'Healthy male' or 'Healthy female' variety which will test for aids, herpes, some of the common HPV strains, and a few others. The doc should also mention some of the more invasive tests and give the patient an opportunity to elect them.

The best thing to think about now is do you love her and if so you better understand she had sex before you. Whether it's one guy or she was with 1000+ she or you could have been in the same boat.

I think it's more jealousy than the condition.

What's the big deal with HPV? Is it life threatening? If it's not and it's controllable (i.e. all you have to do is refrain from sex during an outbreak) then I don't see what the big deal is.

I think he meant cervical cancer is relatively rare, even among those with HPV. Of course that's assuming that the women who have it are getting pap smears regularly.

Actually there is a double standard but i dont agree with it. Girls and guys are whores in my book if they sleep around. There is no difference. I have no respect for either.

20 partners = 375% chance of getting HPV.

No, I'm not talking about sorority girls, or from personal polls conducted on my own time. I heard the statistic on a radio show one time, and from the (non-Greek) girls that I know, I'd say it's fairly accurate. It might've been a range, though; something like 8-10, but I'm pretty sure I remember hearing 10.

And it also might've been by the time a female gets married rather than by her mid-20's. However, those two age conditions are both about the same at this point.

Within a week I have been with 3 differnent chicks. I have only gotten one std in my life not aids / hiv...and I have been with a chick that told me she had Herpes and didn't get it either.
