I would not be waiting weeks, knowing the guy that could gave my fiance HPV could be living on the other side of town. So when she told me who he was, i decided to take action. If no one else here would, then I guess that's a good judge of your character.

Actually, its not exactly a flattering indication of your character. Your girlfriend chose to fvck this petrie dish after bedding 19 other men in quick succession, and you choose to consider marrying her. Furthermore, he was just doing what guys do (fvcking easy girls), and has no obligation to you whatsoever. She wasn't your girlfriend when he boned her, so he owes you nothing.

Maybe your girlfriend should've made him wear a rubber, or maybe she should be more careful about who she sleeps with. So if you just had to punch someone, well, you punched the wrong one. So don't be surprised when 5 years into your marriage, she mysteriously contracts another STD...I'm sure you'll let her off the hook again, and instead of dumping her, you'll stalk her new lover and punch him, too.

Sucker.

Agreed as far as the personal responsibilty goes. Even though he didn't there would be no reason to go to the guys house. He may not even have known he had it.

[*]20x meaning i've only had 1 and she'd had oughly that amount...20 partners isn't considered bad by today's standards, is it?

04/13/2005 12:44 PM

[*]She got her timeline wrong. She got tested BEFORE her last partner, not after. So, being the man that I am, i check into where he lives, knock on his door, and ask him if he gave my fiance hpv. He asked who she was, I answered, he smiled and said yes. I say, you got some balls, then I knock him in the jaw.
Look at the timeline above. In one hour, you confront fiancee, find guy, beat his ass, arrive back at keyboard, post about ass-beating.

It's a good thing being a pathological liar isn't sexually transmitted.

That concludes todays episode of "i'm a fuggin liar, (now prove it)!"

I'd like to thank our contestant, who's weak ass lie was quite easy to disprove. And congrats to Fausto! our resident "Myth Buster" for his pointing out the painfully obvious, that sic will (sick with HPV apparently 😉) is todays,

I agree with you.

However let it be noted that condoms do not stop the spread of HPV

That's a load of BS. It has been well known for years now that HPV seriously increases your risk of gential cancer. She will likely develop cervical cancer, and males are at risk of developing penile cancer. Enjoy.
You said she would likely get cervical cancer. That is BS. Hell 80% of women will have HPV by age 50. Cervical cancer rates should be outrageous.

Increased risk. Yes. Likely. No.
Yeah increased risk means that you increase your likelyhood of getting it.
Is someone with HPV more likely to get cervical cancer than someone who doesn't? yes.
You increase your chances from say 1 in a million to 1 in a thousand. I'd say that increases likelyhood. As far as me just saying she will likely develop cervical cancer, maybe I shouldn't be such an ass. Sure, I'll conceede that she has what ~10% chance of getting it? I don't know what it is, but the increased chances are odds i'd rather not have.

So still saying that HPV is harmless is still crap.
I didn't say it was harmless, I said it was virtually harmless. A big fsckin' difference.

You came back and said that she would likely get cervical cancer when in fact the odds of that are less than 1 in 1,000. She doesn't have a "~10%" chance of getting cervical cancer, she has a ~0.01% chance. Do the math.

So who's full of sh!t and telling crap?

Regardless, this thread has devolved into "OMG your girlfriend sucked 37 dicks?!?!?" so I'm outta here. If you truly love a person, their past is irrelevant. If you think their past is relevant, then it is only because what you feel for them is not love.

I just found out, and I'm shocked. She said she was tested after her last partner and everything came back clean, and I've only had 1 other partner before her, and I was tested after that, and I was clean...so...wow...

I feel kind of, well, devistated. Her pap smear came back abnormal and show mild displasia, too. Now I'm kinda worried for her.

I love her to death, and this little bump definitly won't stop me from marrying her, but it's just....god I don't know how to explain it. On top of this, I blurted out a selfish comment to her, making her feel way more bad than she already does. I feel like an ass. I AM an ass...

So have any of you fellow ATOT people had a similar situation? How did you deal? Got anything to cheer me up?

🙁:Q

Except for the highly likely probability that you are now HPV positive (but not symptomatic - yet), I'd say DUMP HER.

But, it is my personal opinion that a STD sufferer should marry another STD sufferer, so perhaps I should say - KEEP HER.

She'll need the support when she has a hysterectomy at age 32.

I'm 24, and there's no re-thinking about marrying my fiance. I'd love her if she ballooned to 300 lbs, i'd love her if she got 3rd degree burns all over her body, and i'd love her if she had warts.

No question.

But it does kinda rain on my parade a little, I mean, I'm not gonna be jumpin around and shouting, "Hey! You got WARTS? That's AWESOME! Good for you! Gimme some! Wait, you already DID? How thoughtful!"

I'm not reading all the crap in this thread, but here's a link most of you should check out. HPV is very common, and not that big a deal.

Yes, the CDC link.

And it is delivered by the STD fairy when neither side has cheated...
The link addresses this; the virus can remain dormant for years. Obviously the OP or his SO has been with a carrier at some point. Big fscking deal. Grow up. Move on. Get over it.

well said !

so you're blaming her?

maybe you gave it to her.

are warts strictly an STD? what about warts on people's hands? How is that passed on? Just by touching? Maybe you, or her, shook the wrong person's hands or something.

I'm not pointing fingers. We both don't exhibit symptoms, so it's possible either one of us got it. I'm saying though, it's an STD, and she's had 20x as many partners as i have.

And if I EVER find that STD fairy I swear to God...:|

The STD fairy looks sort of like every guy friend she has and the entire football team

lol, that made my evening 😀
