You have my sincerest sympathy. My thoughts are with you.
I lost my pops 2 years ago, and not a day goes by that I don't think of him. :(

My Father and I also did not always see eye to eye, and had many difficulties until the last few years he was around but He always tought us one lesson - Unconditional Love, seems like your Dad was a good man, and tought you the same.

I am sorry to hear that Perknose. My father died almost 10 years ago when I was very young. I feel your loss as does anyone who loses a friend or a love one. Especially someone who was special.

Dave,
Try to take comfort in the fact that he lived a long and happy life. You should also take pride in the fact that your father played an integral part in what has been defined as"The Greatest Generation", those brave men who unselfishly stopped their lives to go overseas and do what had to be done. They still have so much to teach and they are leaving us so fast.

You have my deepest and most sincere condolences.

Sorry to hear it. Though it sounds like he lived a good long life and hopefully died happy. If you have to die, living a full happy life is the best way. Noone wants to see their parents go though. My condolences to you.

Sorry the hear that!

My Dad is in town right now, and I don't get to see him that often since he lives in Fla. and I live in Oregon.

Reading your post DID make me very glad I got to see him tonight though.

Sometimes it's easy to take things for granted.....................

Sounds like he lived a long and productive life though.
